Does the butler feed the fishes?
« on: May 26, 2011, 05:32:55 PM »
I was considering giving my sim the Present the perfect Aquarium LTW but before I even start it I will like to know if the butler will take care of the fishes. And I mean ALL the fishes. Not just one tank but everything because it would be a total waste to lose a few of those perfect creatures.

My butler is on a tight schedule already (doing laundry, doing the beds, cleaning the total house and taking care of kids, one kid) so I hope he could find the time to do it.
So, anybody knows if it is a good idea to start a little 'Dubai Mall Aquarium?'

I don't know the answer to this, but if he doesn't, you could always just keep them in your fridge or on another sim until you have them all and them put them in the aquariums all at once.  I realize you'd probably rather have them in the aquariums the whole time, though.

In my own experience, I have never seen the butler feed fish Leto.  I wish he did, but I honestly don't think that he does. :)

Hmm, that is disapointing. The maid than perhaps?

The maid doesn't feed the fish, but she cleans the aquarium though.  I know that doesn't help, but thought I would throw that in there. :)

My sim wakes up everyday and goes feed the fish all by herself. It's kind of like a routine. I know I did that (controlling it) for the first 3 days she got them so maybe it like goes to their digital brain and adapts there?
But the butler is no help, unless the fishes are dead.  :P
You could try making it a routine.
EDIT:
I just relized that it depends! If it's the fishes that are in the window, they do not need to be fed, they are sort of virtual fishes (no feeding or scooping when dead). But if it is a tank fish, those you will need to feed because they will die.

Now my sims will feed the virtual fish virtual fish food, but they won't feed the live fish by themselves and I had them feed them every morning for ages.  I guess some sims are just different than others.  I know they clean the tank. :)
