Household problems.
« on: June 19, 2011, 10:02:54 AM »
Hey I have a little annoying problem since I installed Generations.
If I load to a house that I left people sleeping not even 5 seconds after me being in there everyone wakes up! I had the mom and dad sleeping in their bed, my teen sleeping, and a baby boy sleeping in a crib! They all woke up and stood side by side their bed, and the baby came out of the crib and started playing with his toy. And it is every time I open a household and they are sleeping. It got really annoying.
Anyone has any tips?

I've been having the same problem. My sim (not her husband) jumps out of bed at the same time  (4:30am). I tell her to go back to sleep. Haven't found how to stop it; but she's the only one (must be an insomniac like me).

I guess that is just another thing to add to the list.  I have the same problem too.  I go into a game and they pop out of bed as soon as the game loads.  It is not really a bad thing and if they need to get more sleep, I just have them go back to bed.  I wish that was the worst of the problems people are having. :)

All of a sudden, without warning, my jumped from sleeping in bed, to being awake next to it.  I don't mean he woke up, and jumped out of bed - I mean he instantly appeared next to the bed, awake.  I had not saved and/or loaded the game.  Tried to put him back to sleep a number of times, he'd sleep for about 15 minutes, and then the same would happen.  I closed the game without saving.

I have an idea of this, if you paid any attention to the things it says on the loading screen (I adore them :3) you would notice that it says they can have nightmares, if you have a teen dream a pretty good dream (same with child) they have a 25% chance to wake up, I think they also head to their parents. so that would kinda make sense... the parent comforts the kid but it would make no sense for  both kids to wake up... :P?

I read somewhere that the way to cure this problem is to move your sims out of their house and then back in.

You can just sell all the beds and buy new ones. The crib too. If it is a family you play before the uppdate the beds can get bugged.

I had the same problem when sims 3 came out. I couldn't find a solution so I started a whole new game. But after that (knock on wood) it hasn't happened again - I thought maybe one of the patches fixed it, but perhaps not since you're still experiencing it.
