Left handed and right handed sims

Well, I wait for the last day to pay bills as well, and almost always have needs static, so I have no clue...

I never wait to pay the bills but I never look to see what hand they are using. Maybe someone could take some screenshots of this to see.

I had never noticed before which hand Sims use to pay bills, but now that the question has been asked I had to check.  In my latest attempt at the Random Wishmasters challenge (that challenge seems plagued by bugs for me), both the characters use their left hand to write the bills.  If the game lasts long enough for them to get married, I'll watch to see which hand they use to write their thank-you notes for the gifts they (hopefully) receive.

I didnt know that sims signed something to pay the bills, I thought they just put paper in the mailbox. If you look at my story, linked at bottom of page, I have a couple of pictures of sims eating, all with the left hand.

     Being a lefty myself, I think it's really cool how the people who made game made some sims left handed and some sims right handed.

I'm lefthanded myself too. They say that has something to do with creativity.

I've heard that too, it would be a cool experiment in the sims if we tested to see if traits determine the factor or if it's just random.

Ha! I've never thought about that. How much creative trait sims out of ten are lefthanded? The outcome could be a coincidence though.

I noticed all my Insane Sims are paying the bills with their left hands lately. I noticed it when I played with Charlie Sheen as a Sim (and this is just my beta testing game before I create a story about him) he wrote with his left hand. Dorie and her husband Gus also used the fork and paid the bills left-handed. Sim-me has star quality and is eccentric and she paid the bills left handed (real me is a lefty anyways). So my guess is that the traits that enhance oddness creativity and recondition are the ones that promote Sim left-handedness. (Virtuoso, Artistic, Insane, Star Quality and Eccentric). As far as Leto's theory, I will play the Hart family, Lola Belle's household (Lola is an artistic virtuoso), Meadow Carpenter-Rhodes (insane Riverview townie who's also a virtuoso). EA i think figures real life left-handed people are typically more odd and creative so they played it into their Sims.

If you look at the earlier posts in this thread, it seems that all Sims pay the bills with their left hand.  Certainly, my two that used the left hand didn't have the Insane trait.  Unless someone comes up with evidence to the contrary, my theory is that all Sims have the same handedness.  They are programmed to eat or pay bills with their left hand and to do other things with the right hand.  I don't think EA have given us Sims with different handedness.

I never really payed much attention to what hands my Sims used.  Guess I'll have to check on it more.  Being a lefty myself, I would be surprised to see what all they do left handed.  Of course, its a given that some things just have to be done with one hand or the other.  I know when I was in Scouts and when to summer camp, I took rifle shooting and Archery.  Shooting a bolt action rifle right handed was..interesting, but I got the requirements done.  Helped I was right eye dominate.

Anyway, so yeah, I'm gonna keep an eye one what stuff my sims do with each hand.

Left-handed or right-handed sims? Question solved! Using several debud cheats, I descovered that it is actually a hidden trait, that cannot be modified without EnableDebugCheats modification and coding in Phyton. I tested it. My sim was left-handed, it showed the animation and when I removed left-handed trait and replaced it with righthanded trait, it worked! This is also possibility, how to turn your regular sim into an alien!
