New Beginings "Free time"

I am playing new beginnings, and I have gotten to a point where the only quest offered is "Free time" But as I was playing I couldn't gain any experience to any of my heroes while doing so. Do I get any other quests? It seems the only other option is to start a new kingdom in the next level(Imperial domination), but I LIKE my kingdom Help ! I have Gold in the new beniings in my kingdom, do I have to advance it to get more quests? HOW? Why do I see no XP gain, my bard is stuck at level one. :/

When you run out of QP then the only quest offered is Free Time. You can continue playing in the kingdom, but you can't get any more experience. If you want to gain experience then you need to start a new kingdom from the beginning.
