Foundation on existing house?

Can I add a foundation to an existing house without tearing it down?

I believe, given the current building tools, adding foundations underneath an existing house is not possible. At least, I've never been able to figure it out if it is possible.

Lily is right, as far as I know, it is not possible to add a foundation to a house without tearing it down, and vice versa.
