I am trying to knock down a wall, and I get that message. What can I do to get rid of it? Thanks.

That's really strange. What lot/house are you on?

I'm in Sunset Valley on the lot by the Landgraab's and Alto's mansion.

I get that message when I use to try and change a lounge or club, but I have not gotten that message from a sims house. Is it the park you are trying to change?

No, I have built a custom house on the end lot. I can't delete anything except furniture.

Just checked, nope. This only started happening after I used buydebug.

To get around it, enter the cheats "testingcheatsenabled true" and "restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false". I'm not sure if that'll fix your problem permenantly, but it'll at least let you knock down that wall.

I have only had this message come up when I try to delete a door, window or wall or something in an apartment. I know you already resolved your issue, but do you think you accidentally changed the lot type to apartment?

Nope. The only thing I did differently was buydebug.

You might have accidently put a hidden room marker somewhere on your lot, which come from buydebug... That prohibits building on some parts of the lot it is located on...

yes, only hidden/public room markers can do this, if you place one in a certaine room, all the lot will be behaving like that, after using the cheat, find it and remove it, it will all be back to normal

It can also happen if you try to place a high-rise building on the lot, whether you succeed or not. It could just be a glitch, I've had it happen on a little cottage I'd never even touched with apartment markers.
