Sims Broken!

I have been playing the sims fine for ages, then yesterday it stopped! So I uninstalled and installed it again! And still nothing!
Then I put my computer back to the 23rd October to see and it still does not work.  :'(

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello hayley431 and welcome to the forum.

Can you give us some more details? What Operating System are you running? Why did you reset it to the 23rd of October specifically? Is there an error message? Do you run any mods (modifications)? If so, please don't name them.

I'm on Windows 7.  I went back to the 23rd as from the 24th is when it started to mess up.  No, I didn't use any mods at all.  Just all of a sudden it stopped working.  The message I get is this: ----- unable to start game service initialization failed (0x024e424f).
