Finding Seeds

Just a quick question re finding seeds. I usually don't bother having my sim collect the rare or unusual seeds but wondered if they are ever seeds from WA plants? I am guessing the answer would be no and that you have to go to those location to find the relevant plants, but just wanted to check.

I've always had to go to China, etc., to get their plants. But do go ahead and plant those rare and uncommon seeds. Garlic (rare) is a good fertilizer, and watermelon (uncommon), in high doses, will cause you to have a baby girl.

Not to mention the money tree seeds (special seeds) will grow into trees that actually produce money.

I always collect the special seeds, but usually after any sim I have get their free seeds I just go to the grocery store and buy one of each of the other fruits/veg for her to plant when she gets to the appropriate level, so I was just curious if I was missing any 'foreign' fruit or veg by not collecting the rare and unusual seeds.
Thanks for the responses.
I am currently trying a gardener to see how long it takes to get to level 10 in the career and was hoping not to travel, but I would like to get all the plants so I guess its time to pack the bags.

I occasionally catch WA stuff in the thrift shop. Always worth a gander if your sim is nearby.
