I'm a writer, so sometimes I'll recycle titles of stuff I've written (though sometimes it's hard to match up the genres, because I mainly write horror and I don't have Supernaturall).

When I play a writer sim, I mostly make them write horror. Sometimes I'll name them after horror movies I've seen, or, as I usually do, I pick up a pile of Magic cards, sort out the black ones, and take the titles from the card titles or something in the art.
I think my favorite titles would be:

Madam Malice
Rise of the Dark Realms
Instill Infection
and things like that.

My life state dynasty writer had a Barnaby badger theme going on. Titles included:
Fifty shades of badger.
The dark hamster rises.
Barnaby Badger 2 the revenge of the badger.
The badger strikes back.

He he. How about, "42 Shades of Space" (A saucy sci-fi)
Anyone read Dick and Jane? My sims read "Mick and Lane" (Where children learn linguistic masterpieces such as, "Look" and "Run")
Or maybe, "Charlotte's Dial-Up" (A touching story where a girl gets a little sentimental about her "totally outdated" Macintosh)
And my favorite, "Furry Toilet and the Guard of Urbzkaban" (Must I say it?)
Can't forget "Oliver Spin" "Tic-Tac-Toe, a Beginner's Guide" and "Peter Social Bunny" (An orphan with a passion for ballet) (Tic-Tac-Toe, give me an X give me an O give me a 3 in a row-) (How the Social Bunny really lost his eye)
Mind you, I've never played a writer, but I hope that you enjoy these seven. I just made them up on the spot.

I usually just use the automatic one, or just do something that sounds totally overused or really stupid.

I am on the website Chicken Smoothie! My username is Miyazaki.

Last time I had a writer sim, I took the random name it gave me and replaced one of the words with "Duck".

My author specializes in Comic Books, based on my old City of Heroes character Whitestar.  He is up to Whitestar #17 so far, and pulling in over $6000 a week in royalties.

I had something weird happen with my author.  He went out to get the mail.  In it was a copy of the book he written and one from the book club.  When I looked at the name of the book I had to do a double take as part of the title was also the author's name.
What made it weird was it was a book written by Indigo (I wish I had written the title down) and I recognized the title and author as a sim I had created in another game.  So my sim gets in the mail a book from another of my own created sim, which was written in another game.
Don't know if it happens often but first time for me.

In my current game my teen started writing instead of an after school job, so I just added Jimmy Sprocket to the random title it gave me and pretended my teen sim was writing Jimmy Sprocket fanfic to start off his career. I've also used random title generators I've found elsewhere on the web when I get a repeat title.

My YA sim has written:
-The Life of a Teenage Girl (first book, fiction, I guess a chick lit)
-Holy Cats, I'm in Space!
And a few others that I can't remember right now.
My child sim got the Illustrious Author LTW, and she's on her first book right now, a sci-fi called Galactic Girl: Book 1.

Whenever I write books, I'll get distracted by something and completely forget the genre. So I just wing the names and hope it matches the genre. Once, my writer did a entire horror series on random kitchen utensils. The first on was 'Knife' and the second one was 'Fork' and soon on. He wrote six books and it brought in loads of money.
"Whoa, Ok Whoa. No one said nothing about extortion or blackmail ok. Just a simple beautiful Christmas star that if you bought from me right now at a hefty price of $140 would ensure that I don't destroy your house or threaten your family."

I had a writer Sim who looked a lot like the actor Steve Busemi, so I named all his books after films that Steve Buscemi has been in!
