Sims resetting when getting mail
« on: November 29, 2011, 02:52:18 AM »
Whenever my sims do the interacting "Get Mail", they approach the mailbox and open it, but then they just reset themselves. They never get the mail out.
I tried multiple households, moving house and resetting the game, but nothing has worked so far.

Is there a known fix to this?
Or is there a way to replace the mailbox?

I don't know if it will work, but you can go to buydebug and use the eyedropper tool on the mailbox. It won't hurt to try lol.

I tried that, but no luck.
I just realised it's only on lots that I have placed in "Edit Town", if that helps anyone.

Where did you get the lots?  Are they ones downloaded from the Sims 3 Exchange?

No, they were just lots I edited in Sunset Valley. I saved them to the library, and placed them into a new file (in Sunset Valley again).

I now remember it happen to me once. I make it a community lot in edit town and change it back to resedential. But if sims live there it will be a problem.

Okay, thanks. I'll give that a try with the houses that people aren't living in, and see if I can get it to work.
