Moving Sim into town and the newspaper
« on: December 08, 2011, 12:36:31 PM »
If you move Sims into a house or empty lot in a town does the newspaper say they moved in? In story progression it tells you if someone moves into a house, so I wonder if it does if you place them.
We are of peace, always but this is war.
We are of peace, always.
We'll help build a resistance. We have to fight.

When all you've ever loved has been stolen from you, sometimes all you have left is revenge.
For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

No, your sim being placed is never in the paper. Other sims, due to story progression, are mentioned.

Interesting that when your Sim has a baby or gets married it shows up in the paper.

Well, I suppose that Sims getting married are a direct result of regular gameplay, and don't involve Edit Town to happen, whereas moving a sim in yourself involves Edit Town. My best guess is that EA designed the Newspaper to reflect changes made to the town while you're playing, not during Edit Town - so Edit Town and regular gameplay are two features, and the Newspaper only reflects one of those features - regular gameplay.
