Omni plant opportunity has never shown up.

My Sim has waited over 9, yes nine, weeks, since they had the "excellent cheeses" opportunity. I thought steaks would be next, but I've been waiting and now, alas, my Sim is 2 days shy (probably a little longer since the marathon challenge was reached) of his last days in SV.

Is there any reason it wouldn't pop up? Are there any criteria? I know they're random, but are they influenced by anything? It's been very frustrating. I was looking forward to that opportunity. Thanks.

One thing to look for is to make sure that slot is available on the opportunities tab.  If you accepted another skill opportunity and didn't complete it, that would be blocking the Omni opportunity chain.

I just completed that chain of opportunities and I got the steak one about three Sim days after completing the cheese one.

Thanks Pam. I know about the open slot thing. He has accepted other opps, but they've been completed quickly. 9 weeks is a bit long. Would him being in the gardening career have anything to do with it? I wonder if I quit, if that might debacle whatever enough to allow it, lol.
