Ch. 4: A Sad Necessity

Carmen works hard to get on the honor role.


She even goes over to her friend Minzi Cho's house to work on homework. Apparently the Cho's moved out of their mansion.


And Mr. Cho has become a vampire!


Carl has finally achieved his LTW. Now he can relax a little. Oh, did I say relax? I meant make potions... Now he can make potions a little.


Carl decides that he needs to sit down with Maya for a quick chat.
Maya: Okay, Carl. What was this big idea of yours?

Carl: Well Maya, we had our children very late in life. Malcolm is still a child while you and I struggle with creaky bones every day.
Maya: What are you getting at?
Carl: You know I've been working with that chemistry set lately. Well, I've finally figured out a formula that will restore youth. You should have it Maya. It's expensive to make two of them, and we can't use all of the money we've set aside for investment.
Maya: So you want me to stay here and take care of the children. I understand. Both of us can't die.

Carl: That's exactly what I want, Maya. Are you okay with that?
Maya: I suppose I don't have a choice. Someone needs to watch out for Carmen and Malcolm.
Carl: Thank you. Here's the formula.


Maya drinks the Young Again potion.


And she is transformed into a beautiful young woman. She has a soft spot for designer clothes. This pattern was designed by the creative Ausette. Maya shares this good news with Carmen. Maya was always secretly worried that she would die before Malcolm grew up, and she didn't want to have to leave Maya responsible for him.


Carmen has a wonderful prom. She is voted Prom Queen, and even though she got in a couple fights, she managed to snag herself a boyfriend.


This is Ernie Campbell, Carmen's new boyfriend. It's dark out right now, so you can't really see him. I'll get some better pictures later.


A robber decides to break into the Abbots' home. I always forget to put in those burglar alarms in pre-built homes. Luckily, Carl being the Brave sim he is, fights the intruder.


Even his old, creaky bones are stronger than this burglar's.


While playing on the water slide in the backyard one night, a visitor comes for Carl.



Carl begs for his life, but Grim will not bend. He is taking Carl and he is taking him now.


Maya can't even sleep through the night. The bed is cold without Carl, and she regrets drinking the Young Again potion. At least if she were still an Elder, she wouldn't have to sleep alone for long.

Ch. 5: Getting Closer

The family is devastated by the loss of Carl.


Apparently he feels their pain, because he makes an appearance the day after his death. I think his presence may be doing more harm than good, though.


This is Ernie Campbell, Carmen's boyfriend. Well, he was Carmen's boyfriend, but he grew up. It's a shame he's so pretty because he's an NPC Babysitter.


Carmen decides to at least keep their friendship alive.


Meanwhile, Malcolm has been spending time with Carmen's childhood friend Sadie Sanders.


I wonder if anything is in store for these two.


Malcolm gets caught staying out past his curfew.


At least the policeman was nice enough to take him home.


Malcolm decides to start pranking objects in the house, though. This is Carmen's computer! She hasn't even done anything to him!


Maya decides to get a pet. Maybe the presence of this little one, Webster, will help relieve the family of their pain after the loss of Carl.

Ch. 6: Young Adult Life

Carmen finally has her Young Adult birthday. She gains the trait Born Saleswoman.



She seems to have gotten the best features of her mother and father. Carmen is such a gorgeous lady.


She graduates as the class's valedictorian.


Maya loves spending time with Webster.


Carmen even enjoys playing with the new family addition.


Carmen joins the Sculpting Profession and heads down to the consignment shop to sell her sculptures that she made as a teen. Dany Shue is the consignment specialist.


Malcolm spends most of his time down at the movie theater playing his bass.


Webster has his adult birthday.


He turns out to be a very cute dog.

Ch. 7: Three Little Surprises!

For Webster's birthday, Maya adopted a new female friend for him. Meet Misha.


They get well acquainted very quickly.


Carmen almost has all of her requirements met. Sculpting is SuperMaxed, she's done all of her opportunities, the household has 10 NPC friends, the two properties are owned and upgraded, and the collection is complete. Carmen just just has to get a couple more thousand to max her career and there need to be a couple more best friends. So far so good.


Misha soon turns out to be pregnant!


The family is greeted with three new puppies.


Meet Piper, Sky, and Daisy.


Maya celebrates her Adult birthday by herself. She's already getting two extra birthdays, so there's no need to keep celebrating them over and over.



Carmen has something to do that she's been putting off for a long time. Her high school sweetheart, Ernie, needs to be broken up with. Carmen can't marry a man who doesn't even own a home.


Carmen instead befriends a fellow named Davy Cho.


Maybe "befriends" is too broad of a term...


Carmen finally gets up the courage to propose. Davy says yes.


Wedding preparations are under way. Carmen becomes an Adult in seven days.

Ch. 8: Moving On

Webster and Misha's puppies grew up quickly. It was cute having little puppies run around and trip all the time, but now the house is full with five dogs! First was Sky and Daisy. For some reason, Piper didn't age up until the day after, even though she was born at the same time.




Carmen also had her Adult birthday.


Many friends gathered around to celebrate with Carmen. After all, today is a very special day.



Now that Carmen is old enough, it's time to have the wedding.


Friends were dismissed for a few hours while Maya and Malcolm set up the wedding arrangements outside. Then they were all invited back. It's time for the ceremony!


Carmen stands excited underneath the wedding arch. When she asks Davy to exchange rings however, he says no. He's a Loner and is too uncomfortable around all of these people. Carmen is upset since her mom and brother went to so much trouble to set up the backyard, but she knows what to do.


Carmen takes Davy inside to the dining room. All of the guests are still outside either soaking in the hot tub or playing with the dogs. She asks him if he feels more comfortable in this secluded area. He says yes. They exchange rings in the dining room and are happily wed.



The couple enjoy their honeymoon. The house needs some work, but Carmen needs to make some sculptures and get them to the consignment shop before she has enough money to complete the renovations. But for now, the couple enjoys their time together under the covers.

I am also doing a decadynaty with the abbots. However I divorced carol and his wife and had him remarry Cassidy so I could have green kids. No such luck though. Also congrats finishing your first generation . Mine only just started elemtrary school.
