I often set down floor tiles where I have no intention of putting flooring just so I can edge my terrain paints in a straight line.
After I figure out where I want a driveway, patio or walk I lay down floor tiles to outline it. I use my terrain paints, remove the floor tiles and there you go, straight edges

Why didn't I come up with this? ::)  What's even more annoying is when the pathway is a curved one, but you still want it to be all even. xD

To normal people they seem like tiny things, but to the person with OCD they are the most important things in the world.

I know no one meant any disrespect, so no worries about that, I just hope everyone understands that for some people OCD is no more of a joking matter than say, cancer.

I find your first sentence quite offensive, a specially since you know about the seriousness of  this decease. Making a difference between "normal people" and people with OCD is very ignorant. People with OCD are just as "normal" as anyone else.

I have OCD. I don't consider myself normal. But I didn't use the word normal in a derogatory way, I just used it to show that I was talking about people who don't have OCD. If you'd like, I'll change 'normal' to 'mentally healthy'. I meant no offence.

I also have OCD when it comes to my Sims bathrooms and kitchens. They must have towels, toilet paper, soap, and potted plants in the bathroom; and paper towels, a knife rack, pots and pans, etc., in the kitchen. I could go on forever.

My sister has a bedroom OCD, where everything must be in the same place in every bedroom or she goes ballistic. It's actually quite comical watching her fix bedrooms I've destroyed. ;)

I don't mean to be rude, but that isn't OCD. That's being a perfectionist.

It wasn't rude. For a moment there I couldn't tell the difference. Thanks.  :D

I'm the same way.
I've spent an hour deciding on what color to make a bedroom. Y'know, it's the color that should match the resident's persona, sets up a color scheme for the bathroom,.....
To think I ended up scrapping the house because I didn't like the layout.  :P

My bathrooms usually include a window, a light, the Porcelain Throne toilet, and either the Exhilarating shower or the Schmidt's Clawed Tub with rubber ducky and bubble bath. I almost never include a sink or any decorations.  The only decorations would be paintings the Sims created or their high school diplomas.

If you aren't officially diagnosed with OCD, you call it OC, because that way there is no disrespect or other misunderstandings, and people know what you are actually talking about.

Just a little note.

OCD, OC, perfectionist, whatever you call it. That is me. I always put the toilet paper, the soap, the shampoo and a few other small decorations in my sims' bathrooms. I like to make their houses as realistic as it's possible, that's why. I am not as picky with colours, however, it's the styles that play a big role for me when building.

I have OCD, and trust me, it isn't a little thing that a room must have. To me it's what a room can't have. It can't have a paper on the floor, no a cushion out of place. And I swear that my eyes are drawn to the small pieces of garbage in the floor, I step in a room and like a magnet "I must pick that up." I used to (a couple of weeks back, when I wasn't on) stop whatever I was doing and clean, I got up in the middle of class to fix something insignificant, a paperclip on the floor or something. People couldn't touch my things because if they moved a milimeter they would bother me and I would snap. It was bad. It's the little things.
