Transferring a game to another computer

Hi, I recently bought a new laptop and installed the sims onto it. I have the sims on my other computer with a saved game that I want to play on my laptop. Is there a way that I can transfer a sims game onto another computer?

I believe you can save your game files to a portable drive and then transfer them from the drive to the 2nd computer.
