Sleeping and Jobs - DS version

Hi! I have the Nintendo DS version of The Sims 3 (not the pets one), and I have a problem.  I had my sim get a job, but my sim doesn't sleep long enough at night, and he is already tired when its time to go to work and his performance suffers.  Does anyone have any tips or a workaround?
