trouble with a cheat

Trying to get the testingCheatsenabled true cheat to work, and it won't.  I followed the directions but it wouldn't let me override the save.  Please help!!

Are you referring to The Sims 3? I'm not sure what overwriting the save would mean in this case. For TS:Medieval you need to overwrite a configuration file. Could you explain a little more and when it happens? Also I'm moving this to technical help.
