Hi Warr. I'm not too sure.
I think this should be in the Console part of the forum.  :)

Hello

I think your talking about copying your house on the ps3 and moving it to the p.c version.I think the two versions are so different it would not be possible to do that.

Hi, Warr2098.

I've re-created a couple of the houses from the PS3 Sims 3 in the PC version. It helps to have a laptop that can play at least the base game, but if you want to do exact re-creations, you'll need some of the expansions and some of the store items for the PC version for some of the needed objects.

I think my favorite re-creation was the Modern Zen house. It was a little hard to get the upstairs just right, but I managed, heh.

I've also re-created some houses from The Sims 2 (PC) and The Sims Bustin' Out (PS2). I really liked the flat-roofed townhouses in Pleasant Valley. The BauHaus set on the Sims 3 store really helped get the look right. :)

That should take care of most of the items. I'd have to go through my re-creations, but I recall there was a poster that was only available from the store that is used in one of the starter homes (the blue yellow one-bedroom house called Adore Abode). I'll double-check when I get back on my Sims 3 computer. :)

Edit: The poster is part of the free Valentine's set from 2010 called Eye of the Beholder '10. It's still available from Sims 3 Store for free. It's is Sets -> Holidays and Gifts. It's the only Store item I recall using in any of the houses from the Console version. For my Sims 2 Townhouse re-creates, I made extensive use of the BahHaus collection - mostly the windows.

I'll double-check to see if I used any paid Store content, but I don't think I have. I haven't done the Nelson's house yet, so it goes on the list.

Here's what I've done from the console version (nothing yet from Sims 3 Pets console):
  • Quaint (Kozen Family - 11 Lighthouse Lane)
  • Blue Bungalow (Empty - 72 Erin Lane)
  • Modern Zen (Rannt Family - 480 Haskins Way)
  • Lodgy (Monroe Family - 210 Haskins Way)
  • Adore Abode (Empty - 110 Easy Street)
For Sims 3 Pets on the console, I did something a little different. I re-created the starter mobile home from The Sims 2 PC for my Pets Sim. It took most of her starting money and I had to modify it a bit for the lot (long instead of wide), but it turned out pretty nice. :)

My next starter in the console game will probably be a re-create of one of the houses in Tom Thigpin's guide on this site. I've already built most of them in the PC game.

Hi, Warr2098.

I've just about finished going through the PS3 house I remade. I'm just waiting for my Gallery account to be activated and I'll get those uploaded. I ended up using two store items, a couple from World Adventures and one from Ambitions.

I'm working on a remake of Rebecca Goth's house from the console version of Sims 3 Pets and the Nelson's house is next on the list. :)

Cool!  ;) I will try and remake one but I can't really remember them in all their detail; I really want to try and remake the lighthouse-type house by the nelsons.
