Question about Generations' Age Span Settings
« on: March 02, 2012, 11:20:32 PM »
I wasn't sure whether to put this question here or under the Technical Help section, so I'm trusting that a moderator will move it if needed. :)

The age span settings—do they apply to ALL saved games? Or only to the saved game that you're in when you change them? I'm asking because my brother and I are sharing the game, but playing with different saves, and I don't want to mess up his game by changing the age spans.

Thank you ahead of time for your help! ;D

When you change the age settings, the change does apply to all your saved games.  This only matters if you forget to change them back when you switch from one of his saved games to yours.  Technically, it only really matters if a sim has an age transition because otherwise, as soon as you change the settings to your own, the days left in each lifespan adjust accordingly, but only within each age group, i.e. if a toddler has 5 days left and you make the span longer, the toddler will then have more days left, but only if he's remained a toddler and not yet become a child.  I would make a habit for both of you to check the settings as soon as you load up your neighborhood.

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to know. I told him what I want to change the setting to and he's okay with it so for now, we won't need to change them when we load our games. Thank you, CSquared2!
