No option for autograph signing

My sim is at level 9 of the singing career and has never had an autograph session.  I've seen people having problems with greyed out options, but not missing ones.  I had another character (now gone) and she had 3 sessions with no problems.  But for him, I have no option at all.  I've been looking for the option since he was at level 5, not knowing exactly what level they started..  I've tried every venue at all different hours and days to no avail.  I've tried the proprietors, checked the cell phone, clicked on lots and venues, everything I can think of.  I don't know how to get them.  I've also reset the sim.  I'm stumped.  Any ideas?

I haven't done it with the singing career, but for the regular music career, you click on a place like the book store, grocery store, or theater and you'll get the option to hold an autograph session.  Your Sim will then need to go to that location.  You can only do it once a week, I believe.  I don't remember which level it starts, either.  It might be level 10.

I had a character in the music career - symphonic.  I can't remember now if it was her that had the sessions or my female singer.  I don't have these two characters anymore. (I had a game crash and the world was saved as a .bad file - I had to start over)  Maybe it was the career.  Would that make sense, a symphonic autograph session?  Not to me.  Maybe the singers don't have that option.  Although from what I've been reading, it sounds like they do as people are getting a greyed out option.  That would make more sense to me.  I've kind of stopped looking for it.  My eyes get sore straining to see something that isn't there.  My character sells albums where he can and has no trouble getting gigs and excellent reviews.  Probably best not to worry about it.  It would have been a nice touch though (except for the memories - one memory for every autograph - ouchhh).
