Load Game Option is Gone From the Main Menu?

You've checked your Sims 4 folder [\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves] and the save files are still there, but there isn't a Load Game option in the Main Menu. There's a few of reasons why you may not see the Load Game option.

1. The Sim or household was created without moving them onto a lot or into a house. - To fix this, click the Play button and move your Sim or household into a house or onto a lot.

2. The save files may need to be renamed in order for the game to recognize them.

3. Or the save files may have been saved to another drive like OneDrive, or iCloud Drive.

-- The tip below is mostly for Windows, but maybe helpful to Mac users.

If you do not see any of your user files in this folder path - C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

You may need to either search your computer for your Sims 4 folder. As it may have been moved to a different location on your computer or saved to OneDrive or iCloud. If using Windows 8 or 10, this maybe turned on and sync'd automatically - by default. (**If logged in with a Microsoft Account)

To search your computer, click the Start button. In the Search bar type in the Sims 4. If you find any where other than \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. You will want to move or copy it back to that location.

Note on OneDrive / iCloud:

Syncing the Sims games with OneDrive or iCloud can cause issues. It's best to unsync these games with those services. You may not use use OneDrive  or iCloud but it's a good idea to make sure it is not enabled or at least Sims 4 is excluded. If the sims 4 user data is being written to the cloud or an alternate location the game will not be able to find it.

Check OneDrive's settings to make sure it's set to keep files on local drive. (Not the cloud as that may be part of the problem.)

** Note: We cannot be support for OneDrive or iCloud as we do not use them.

The user files should still be in their default location (Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4) and save there, once you turn off syncing with OneDrive or iCloud. It will no longer save a copy to either cloud service.
