[BUG] Sims Age In CAS

So even with aging off your sim will slowly age in CAS. The longer you stay in CAS the more they age up. This is also true for vampires. This bug effects the entire household so you really need to save before using CAS every time until there is a fix for this.

Some people have reported that child sims become a few days younger so watch out for that aspect of the bug too.

SimGuruNick is aware of the bug - no time frame for a fix as of yet.

Does that bug include characters that I've made in the past @Playalot?

(as long as I don't change anything about them in CAS/go into CAS with them) 

I've had my main family since I started to play TS4.  I have aging off, but I want to make sure that nothing happens to their ages.

@coolsim9999999  yes any sims in any game will be effected if you go into CAS.

Thanks a lot, Play !  I will make sure to stay out of CAS with any characters that I care about not aging at all.

I'm about to get Get Famous, so those characters will be new and they bug will be fixed before they're too old.  I guess I could use potions of youth on new characters if it's not fixed as soon as expected.

So, I can use a dresser to plan outfits or whatnot because it will age my Sims to the next life stage without warning or age them by 15 days? I was about to buy the new expansion pack but now I may have to uninstall Sims 4 and delete my Origin Launcher and just give up the Sims 4 as a lost cause.

Okay, but I heard that there is a bug that ruined Sims 4 because if you try to plan outfit in a dresser the game ages up your characters or something like that. I guess that means you can't give Sims you move in a makeover, huh?

It is a known bug that Sims age while in Create a Sim. For now what you can do is play with your Sims as is or not, your choice.

Not sure if everyone is using the dresser, but I'm playing a fun game and thought I would see how bad the bug was as my sim was wondering around in summer stuff and it was winter.  I never use a dresser, only a mirror and when I click on it I pick change sim.. I was in CAS for about 20 mins and when I came out I checked the age bar and it hadn't moved. Don't know if I'm just lucky, or if maybe I've found a workaround. I checked with another sim in a different save, and it seemed to be ok too. Maybe it's worth checking?

@MystiKitty  yes there is a cas bug but... it only ages your sim up incrementally. So a quick trip into CAS will only age your sim up a day or so. Not ideal I agree but it is not game breaking if you are plying with aging off (the bug still ages up your sim) or if you are just playing a casual game.

Definitely an issue for those people playing a legacy of dynasty etc but..then just don't go into CAS until a bug-fix has been released.

@Playalot My sims age even if aging is off. I agree though with a quick hand it isn't as game breaking as some of the other bugs unless you are doing a challenge or some versions of a legacy game.

I don't think it is just one bug that is game breaking but adding them all up it is game breaking for a great many playstyles. In fact the bugs have forced me to take a break until some of them are fixed. I just can't play the game how I want to at this point.
