Non (Ex) household sims aging

Sorry for asking another question
I made a sim and had him marry Agnes Crumplebottom, and they had two kids together. I am currently playing as one of the kids, living alone in a different house (The one across the street). Although for my sim I have turned aging off, I have left on story progression - so will the town, and Agnes and family still age? Or does aging have to be on in the active household for them to age too?

I think if I remember correctly, aging on/off effects the game as a whole. So if you have it on for your active family. Then it's on for the whole town. If you have it off, then it is off for the whole town.
