I would love for them to fix the 'Well-Rested' bug!!!
Argh. It's been there for ages.

Wise investments fix that. I buy Sims good beds from the get-go.

EA will never be able to fix so many bugs, I assure you. Well-Rested is one of them. But really, I think that was off-topic.

Guess I never noticed the "slap" option (my sim is usually not mean), I thought I only saw fight, scare and insult under "mean". I'll look again.

I don't think so. Gardening is now a way to build skills. Doing that would be like hiring a logician to occupy the chess table so other sims cannot get to it. :P

Cooking is skill that Sims can develop and yet butlers who will cook (some constantly) can be hired.

I would like to see more of, what is it you all call it, sandbox play? I thought Ambitions was one of the better EPs because it gave you so much new to do.  Instead of sending a Sim off to a rabbit hole job you could actually work with them at their profession. When I first found the Sims it was all new and exciting. Now it gets very "been there, done that" pretty fast.

Then I wish for a way that I would stop forgetting to tend to the garden :P

Touche.
Call it a bug or call it a feature, EA, please fix the butlers! (So many glitches: cooks a lot, works after being fired, cooks a lot)

Wow! More than a year since anyone's posted... which is weird, given that it's a great topic. The funniest part about reading through some of the earlier posts is how many of the suggestions for patches or expansion packs (eg. other instruments, vampires) ended up actually becoming available, hehe.

Now, to keep the thread humming...

- I'd love to see some additional furniture that is also functional and aesthetic. Namely, a dressing table. As a player who loves to fully deck out a Sims house, bedroom furniture usually ends up being so sparse. Things like wardrobes would make a room look more complete.
- Activities wise, I'd love to see a pool table... something that enhances the Logic Skill, seeing the Sims get better at making shots. Also, I think it's been mentioned before, but a diving board for the pool would be cool; Athletic Sims could make a 10-point dive or 'throw' a cannonball and soak other sims. Maybe some floats for the pool.
- A boat to sail in the ocean would be a fun addition... reach islands you can't get to otherwise, deep sea fishing... or even SKIING! YAY! You could buy a cheap, rusting, leaky 'tinnie' or a fully decked out speedboat.

The Generations EP looks like it's gonna be fun. The Sims 3 is my first foray into playing the series... I'd like to see pets and seasons as well; apparently they were in earlier games?

I kind of miss my Sims attacking and throwing things at someone if they don't like that particular person. Perhaps in the mean/fight option, or even if the relationship is low enough with the Sim they don't like, they should have "Throw Object/Slap Using" and it would take you to a list of your inventory items. Select the item, and watch the person get knocked out with the item you selected. Or, go strait to your inventory select the item, and it will have an option "Read/Eat/etc. or Attack..." then gives you the pop up menu, along with the relationship with that Sim. So if Agnes is having a bad day, (because she's grumpy) she can go into her inventory, select her books, click on the book, and get the options: "Read/Reread" or "Throw Book at..." and takes her to the options "Blair Wainright, Thornton Wolff, Vita Alto, Molly French, Marty Keaton." Then, she selects the following Sim, and will throw the book at him/her. The relationship, of course will go down.

I hope the mean-spirited elderly Sims have the options to use their canes to beat other Sims up, with the Generations pack.

That sounds a little too violent for a Pegi 12 Game to me. I don't remember ever being able to throw items at sims before? I only played Sims 2 and all I remember is a Water Balloon as a prank?

I played all the games. The closest to that is the "Give Gift" interaction.
