Dr Pepper codes...did you find them?

I was just wondering if anyone had redeemed any Dr. Pepper codes for the stuff at the sims 3 site?  I'm running all over town trying to find these stupid "marked" bottles.  I really didn't pay attention to the items offered until I saw the 2 cars.  Now it seems I can't live without them.

Anywho, was just wondering if anyone else got the codes and if they were able to redeem them.  

Unfortunately, this offer is only good in the US, which is very unfair to simmers in other countries.  If you have Dr. Pepper in your country, you should be able to get the codes too.

I know Dr. Pepper is a sort of cola thing, but how does this fit in the game? Do we have vending machines now, if that is the right name for those machines where you get cola, dr. pepper, sprite etc? I forgot the Dutch name of it so I can't translate that to English.

Coke is what English call it, well Coca Cola or Pepsi as I prefer but same stuff really. Sprite we have here as well but also 7-up. There is Dr. Pepper in England as well, what cars are they?

@Leto...they are offered through a promotion from the Dr. Pepper company.  You get codes off the 20 oz. bottles of Dr. Pepper and fountain cups, submit them to the company site online and they put the items in your game through the sims 3 store.  Sorry for the mixup.

@samoht...there's a retro car with the big fins, reminds me of the car my grandfather had.  I learned how to drive on that car.   Plus there's a car that looks like a "woody" which is a nickname for a stationwagon like car they had back in the 1960's.  It got popular with the surfer set.

I had redeemed them before when they did it a couple of months ago, but there weren't any cars then. Maybe I will check it out again. I didn't realize that they had got new items for it.

This promo is supposed to last til the end of the year.  The EA promo codes were pulled for a couple of months to promote the Iron Man movie.  Then was supposed to start again at the beginning of July, but I think a lot of stores still had the Iron Man bottles on the shelves.  I started to find the EA Dr. Pepper bottles about the second week in July.  I normally find them at Walgreens or Convenience Stores (20 oz.), but I heard that the cups from Taco Bell also have a code for the Dr. Pepper promo, not sure what size drink you need to buy.  Here's some pic's of the stuff you can get. :

I'm having a devil of a time finding the codes...none so far.  I like Taco Bell but how many diet Dr. Peppers will I have to drink to get the codes for those cars?   As I understand it, you don't have a choice of what you win...you submit, they award any of those things.  While I want the cars, I might get the dumb lips loveseat, which I already have.   Would be just my luck!

You're welcome bshag!   Thought it might help you decide how many codes you need to get.  You don't have to drink Dr. Pepper at Taco Bell, the code is on the cup so you can order/drink any type of soda you like.

Also, you are allowed to pick the item(s) you want as the Promo includes a lot of EA games.  Just make sure you pick the stuff for Sims3, unless you are interested in other game items.  It's actually pretty well organized, it will keep track of what item(s) you already own.  Just watch out for the first ten items they offered.  They were put in the EA store by accident for free and I remember I linked some of those items on the free thread here, so if you managed to download any of those items before they took them down, they will not show up as owned at the Dr. Pepper site.  Good luck finding the codes.  The cars are sweet, but I really like the messy pony tail, it really looks great in game.

Oh no! They did sort of thing in Spore as well! Dr Pepper is really impossible to get here in Sweden. All colas (at least that you see) on the market is either Coca Cola or Pepsi (or some Swedish brand you guys have probably never heard of). Oh well, good luck in finding your codes!

I'm sort of flogged 'ere, since our sodas tend to be older than everywhere else it seems. I remember going to California, and in Hollywood they had sodas not as close to the expiration date. They were actually set to expire in a year, while most up here tend to be closer. We're still stuck with the Iron Man bottles, sort of like being stuck with all those World of Warcraft Mt.Dews.

There are a few places here we can buy Dr Pepper (but isn't it only valid in the US anyway) but personally I don't like the stuff. A few years back they tried selling it here and you could get it easily, but most people here are Coke or Pepsi fans. Now you have to go to shops that specialise in US stuff to get it.

Thanks for the info igzig.   I actually began drinking Dr. Pepper, diet cherry Dr. Pepper, before the obsession took over.  Now it's my favorite.

A simmer on the official site says the bottles are specially marked with yellow caps.  Naturally I dreamed about yellow bottles that I couldn't get to all night.  I think I need therapy.
