Loved the phrasing about the baby being born in the kitchen.  Where we make food.  It seems you manage to slip in a line like that every time that just catches me off guard and makes me laugh  :=)

Love that picture of Elizabeth looking at Edward during the karaoke.  And your wedding setup is as beautiful as ever ^^

Just so you know, dont hesitate to marry Kat to Bronson even in case he's still mermaid at that time, because you can just lock him inside and don't let him swim and he should transform back to be a human. It takes about four days, so after that, you'll still have time to Try for Baby. If you want to check, you can read about it in Carl's Guide's Mermaid page.

When I saw that Sekemoto kid, I first asked myself how Buck Green of Twinbrook found his way to Lunar Lakes. It's not exactly a compliment either. :P

Hurray for nooboos!

I know! It took me ages to figure out that all the good genes came from Patricia.

Thanks! But think about it, really--how would you feel if someone gave birth in your kitchen?

Karaoke and weddings are my two great sim loves.

No worries! I wouldn't let a silly thing like becoming a supernatural being stop a wedding--and anyway, he turned back into a mermaid all on his own, which makes sense when you consider that there's practically no ocean in Lunar Lakes.

Long and . . . Long

Elizabeth watched her family from the doorway of the nursery. Maybe it was just because of Edward's choice of outfit.

Mom stole Jacob from his parents soon enough, and spent most of the night cooing and giggling at her grandchild. I'm so glad she got to see one grandchild before she died--not that she's on the verge of death or anything, but, well . . .

It also gave the newlyweds time to be newlyweds.

And boy, are they ever newlyweds!

. . . Seriously, I spent the night with a pillow on my head trying to block out the noise.

Finally, I gave up on any hope of sleep and snuck into the nursery to snuggle my nephew. I can't wait to have a child of my own, but it's going to be difficult to see this burden passed on to my firstborn. How can I force this honorable curse on my own baby?

For it is a curse, in all honesty. It's a rewardless, impossible task, filled with late nights working and trying to bring back legwarmers. Actually, the latter was my idea, but still!

Note: Super random picture of Elizabeth in her outerwear, because I absolutely love that top and it looks fantastic on her!

At least I can be happy watching my sister and her husband, who was already like a brother to me, running around Lunar Lakes, happy and young and free. They had their tattoos renewed, both of which Elizabeth picked: She gave herself a tattoo of a DJ stand to symbolize her party-ness (her words, not mine).

Edward, on the other hand, got another tattoo of a heart.

They're the best parents a child could ask for, too. After all, who would be embarrassed by a mom like Lizzie?

A few days before my adult birthday, all my requirements were being knocked down like bowling pins. I achieved my lifetime wish of becoming an astronaut in my underwear (yes, that was a part of the wish--read the fine print).

Elizabeth befriended the last of the NPC's, a clueless teenage babysitter.

Just as he was sent on his way, Lizzie discovered that she was once again pregnant!

Edward ran a scan and saw that she was having another boy--twins, in fact! Naturally, the celebration was long and . . . long.

It was in this wonderful time that we received horrible news: Mom died while leaving work. She was an International Super Spy, having achieved her lifetime wish long ago, having two daughters, watching one get married and have a child, and dying the day before the other's wedding. Rest in Peace, Sofia Vanderburg. You were a fantastic founder.

That night, I blew out the candles on my birthday cake. For most sims, their life truly begins on their young adult birthday. I had to wait an additional twenty-one years.

By the time I fixed up my outerwear, every element was in place. It was time.

Hooray!  A new update!!  Favorite moments included the reference to legwarmers and the fine print about underwear.  Clever writing, Azokka.  Your loving niece, Zheena, continues to be honored to be related to you  ;=)

Congrats to Katherine! And to the other happy couple. Will we get to see Jacob as a toddler? With such gorgeous parents, I think the whole forum needs to see him.

RIP Sofia.

Yay the Vanderburghs have returned. Congratulations Katherine, both on completing all of your requirements, and making my squirt milk out of my nose by completing your...... interesting lifetime wish.  :D

Gah, I'm afraid she moved the day before his toddler birthday! But don't worry, we'll be seeing loads of him later, and chances are I'll upload him at some point!

I will never let them die. Ever. Well, Eddie will probably die, since I couldn't afford him an Age Freeze potion, but Elizabeth cannot be permitted to die!

I'm a bit giddy, since it was far easier than I expected! That's what I get for doing an Immortal Dynasty first--this seems like it would be harder, but when you don't have to deal with eight cranky elders life is a breeze!

Sofia was the absolute best founder. Am I right?

Happy birthdsay Katherine! And congrats on completing your requirements!

Why doesn't anyone ever congratulate the Watcher for completing requirements, hm? (That was a bad joke. Seriously, though, people!)

Distractions
« Reply #102 on: October 06, 2013, 03:56:55 PM »
"Congratulations, Katherine!" Edward said warmly, giving me one of his famous smiles.

  "Thanks, Edward. Where's my--oh. This isn't good."

"Kathy!" Elizabeth called, slowly sliding across the ice. "Kathy! Wait up!"

"Lizzie! You're going to kill the babies!" I touched her pregnant stomach. "Thanks for coming. Isn't the due date tomorrow?"

"Today, actually," she beamed. "Don't worry, I'll try to hold it in. Congratulations, Katherine!"

We both knew that she was congratulating on more than the wedding, much more. Every element was in place, my opportunities were all completed, Dad's grave was placed in the yard . . . It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit--whoops, quoting Imagine Dragons again.

As the ceremony started, I felt just the tiniest bit of pressure. Not just from the dynasty, either--Elizabeth had pulled off a perfect wedding while pregnant, and everyone agreed that she was the most beautiful bride in existence in maternity clothes.

But, gazing into Bronson's eyes, everything melted away. Lizzie, Mom, even the dynasty . . . it didn't matter, not truly. Not more than the rest of my life.

Because every bride is beautiful on her wedding day.*

*Quote from Pam's Dreamweaver Dynasty.

As Bronson and I climbed into the car that would take me to a new life, I glanced back at the people I was leaving. There was Edward, in a speedo (a speedo). He was my little brother, the kid who did Elizabeth's homework when we were kids and wore a wizard's hat everywhere he went.

And Elizabeth . . . my sister, my twin, who was still distraught over Mom's death. I was going to miss Jacob's birthday and the birth of my nephews by a matter of hours, but there was no helping that. Onwards and upwards.

Bronson cleaned up his wardrobe, but I do hope the children don't inherit that nose!

It didn't take long to move in: I just moved the bedroom decor into the smaller room, set up a nursery in the old master bedroom, and tested out the bed's placement with my new husband.

(Note: The absolutely awesome thing about Lunar Lakes is the architecture--oh, and the world itself! Am I right?)

We soon settled in quite nicely, just the two of us. Bronson's father died a long time ago, and his mother moved out. I kept my job in the military, but was able to lounge around the house for the rest of the week.

Bronson actually got a job as a ghost hunter! Isn't that exciting? He spends much of his time playing around with the telescope.

I, on the other hand, spend much of my time bent over the toilet.

All of the vomit paid off when I discovered I was pregnant! Naturally, my maternity wear was far less flattering than Elizabeth's, but never mind that. The heir was coming! Oh, I hoped it was a girl--a girl who looked like Mom.

I wanted a pair of twins, just like myself and Elizabeth, but I'm afraid that I didn't have the chance to watch much Kid's TV . . .

. . . something always seemed to come up and distract me . . .

Congrats on the move and the incoming heir!

Bronson looks kind of sad, but he's handsome. I don't even mind his nose, and I love the earthy colors of his new wardrobe.
