I love Margrethe the more I see her. Oh my god, I laughed so much at the king cobra kiss!

I'm glad you do, because we'll be seeing a lot of her. My little brother helped me figure out how to bring in generation six without screwing everything up, and the method involved Margrethe being well into her adult stage when she gets pregnant, waiting until after Jimmy dies, and then having generation six marry someone way older than her. At least we have Margrethe around to entertain us, she seems to be everyone's favorite immortal-to-be so far.

I screamed really loud when it happened. Wasn't expecting it.

I was about to ask where the plumbing curse was, and then this chapter, it comes back!

Oh, it's certainly in full swing, and it isn't limited to plumbing. Every few minutes something breaks, whether it be the television, sinks, computers, heck, even the poor hot tub isn't safe! I'm usually too busy yelling "SERIOUSLY?" to remember to take a screenshot.

Hoooly cow, that would have scared the heck out of me to see the cobra bite in-game! :o

It was frightening! I screamed and my mom actually came running to see what was going on. She just looked at me funny.

You couldn't have sent it at a better time. Margrethe needs to learn a bunch of skills for her lifetime wish and Gustav needs to learn a bunch for his job. And all of the others need something to occupy their time.

The Multitab is worth every penny. It really is a lifesaver
Have you noticed that I'm kind of insane when it comes to genetics?

Indeed it is. The Royale's are completely in love with the e-books and games. Though now I have to monitor the Charisma tabcast because if it gets out of the box, then whoever learned it gets put into isolation for the rest of the game, which I really don't want to do. I'm trying to think of a backup SuperMax just in case, but the isolation chamber is ready.

CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

Alright guys, I'm going to be on hiatus starting Tuesday evening and will be gone for about a week. I'm trying to keep up a backlog of images so I could potentially update while I'm at my grandfather's old house, but iI will be relying on my mom's mobile hotspot for internet because my uncle is the poster boy for the frugal trait. This will be my last hiatus until March 2014, and this dynasty should be completed by that time (though I am planning on doing a second dynasty, get excited). Just a heads up.

Also, it is finally acceptable for me to blast my loud novelty Christmas carols across the house. THE FIRST THING AT CHRISTMAS THAT'S SUCH A PAIN TO ME, IS FINDING A CHRISTMAS TRE-

Tatiana: SOMEONE SHUT HER UP, SHE'S TONE DEAF!

Margrethe: THE SECOND THING AT CHRISTMAS THAT'S SUCH A PAIN TO ME, BRINGING UP THE LIGHTS AND FINDING A CHRISTMAS TREE!

Victoria: THE THIRD THING AT CHRISTMAS THAT'S SUCH A PAIN TO ME-

Beatrix: Family-friendly forum, people!

Aw man...

%%%%%

After that rather disturbing incident with the King Cobra, Elisabeth came home with her sixth BlackOp, "Neighborhood Outreach", in which she needs to introduce herself to four new sims. But first, she needs to take care of her other one, "Power Measure". To do that, we need to go on a little trip and pick some things up...

Elisabeth loaded her daughter and her mother into The Pink Wonder, and with that they were off to Shang Simla. How you can drive to China from North America or wherever the heck Riverview is, I have no idea. I like to think Riverview is in Pennsylvania, because it looks a bit like a small town a little while away from where I live. But Pennsylvania is NOT flat like Riverview, so I could be wrong...

Anyway, Elisabeth immediately went to the academy while Tatiana went shopping and Margrethe ran around collecting metals and gems in her swimwear. It wasn't too alarming to the locals, since her swimwear consists of a tee shirt and shorts (just like me). After picking up some things, Tatiana went off to do some adventures and encountered a woman wearing a similar dress.

Down in one of the tombs, she channeled Brent by getting her hands covered in bugs and sticking it right back in the hole. Personally, I'd NOPE right out of there and probably not stop running until I hit Moscow. Maybe even farther if there were spiders in there.

Oh look, a we-

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE INSIST ON TRYING TO CAUSE INTERNATIONAL INCIDENTS?!

Meanwhile, back above ground, Elisabeth was fatigued from using the board breaker and decided to work on the remaining skill challenges. With the discovery of a new story, she completed the Celestial Explorer challenge. She just needs to become a Grand Master at chess and logic will be SuperMaxed!

With that, she went back to base camp and invited some ranked chess players over. She's already very close to level five.

Most nights, the three got together to eat some meals that Tatiana purchased at the market. They all sat around, enjoying their stir fry while Tatiana excited told them she was at Visa level one. Thanks, Adventerous trait!

Move out of the way, Indigo Dreamweaver, Margrethe Royale is here to steal your spotlight!

I was trying to put everyone to bed, but I couldn't find Margrethe anywhere. When I finally found her, she was just sitting there, chilling on the toilet in the master suite in her athletic wear without a care in the world. This is the first time an insane sim I've ever had has done this, so I was pretty excited and I called my mom over to look.

That was when I was reminded that when I was about five or six years old I would do the exact same thing, only I would talk to myself while doing so.

The next day, Margrethe joined Elisabeth at the academy to learn martial arts. This is when I learned that Margrethe has weird knees. THEY SHOULD'T BEND THAT WAY, MAN!

I lost control of Tatiana for a while and let her do whatever, but then she pulled out her megaphone and decided to rant about politics.

In China.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I managed to put a stop to her ranting (the last thing I need is Tatiana ending up arrested again), and I sent her to the academy to practice with Margrethe and Elisabeth. She had her first belt in almost no time.

Margrethe also got her first belt, but she refused to put it on and instead posed in her formal wear.

But not before trying to kill an imaginary fly. Oh, Margrethe, don't you ever change.

Margrethe: The meerkats are in the bag, Kenneth. What do I do with the iceberg lettuce now?

After a long day, the family decided to unwind by going camping.

Elisabeth...what are you doing...?

First off, score one for the awesomely hilarious rendition of "The Twelve Pains of Christmas". :D

It looks like Margrethe and Elisabeth are coming along on their requirements nicely. I have yet to attempt to supermax Logic for the sole reason that the chess tournaments always seem to glitch on me. :P

oh, Elisabeth, that's not how a mature woman behaves. But you have an awesome car, so you're forgiven.
I just can't get over how insanely cute Margarethe is, and is it just me or is she really floating on that toilet?

A Royal Immortal Dynasty - Chapter Fifty-two (23/11/2013)
« Reply #297 on: November 23, 2013, 01:41:18 PM »
CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO

Margrethe decided to go home early, since she missed Gustav and had a huge amount of things to bring back to Riverview, including some Sculptor's Egg cuts to start a collection, metals, and, accidentally, the Collection Helper. There were a few choice words screamed at the computer when I realized what I had done, but at least I still had the Moodlet Manager in case of mummies.

Elisabeth decided to start doing some adventuring herself, and went to spar with a rather tough old woman.

Later on, she was given the task to go get some writings out of a tomb. She asked Tatiana for some help over lunch at the market, where Tatiana had been critiquing everything and harassing the shopkeepers all day.

They went back to Base Camp so Elisabeth could prepare herself and collect some stuff I had laying around, so Tatiana pulled out the family pictures of doom, grabbed some poor sap, and started boasting about Margrethe.

When they were ready, they travelled deep into the tomb, when Elisabeth promptly caught fire when they tried to set their tents up in an empty room.

Where was Tatiana when all of this was going down?

Being attacked by an angry cobra. Again.

Tatiana: HELP!

They managed to grab the artifacts and writings required, then barely managed to escape from the tomb alive. Unfortunately, there was a bug that wouldn't let me pick the snake-charming basket back up, so I was forced to abandon it in the pits of fire. I'll send Tatiana back to Egypt sometime soon to get a new one.

Elisabeth and Tatiana were so worn out from the tomb, they wanted to go home early. I took mercy and let them get back to their families with plenty of tales to tell.

When they safely arrived back home, I set up a new zen garden for anyone who wants to learn martial arts. It isn't very pretty right now, but I was tired at the time and didn't care. I'll add some nice flowers eventually, but for now it'll do.

Elisabeth was the first one out there, since the work she did on the board breaker in China didn't count for the "Power Measure" op. She quickly finished up, went to the Science Centre, and BOOM, five BlackOps done.

Before they left for China, Elisabeth was promoted to World-Renowned Surgeon, finishing up her lifetime wish and maxing her career. To celebrate, I bought her third and final unique lifetime reward, the Teleporter. I wanted to buy her the Age Freeze potion just so she could have a complete collection, but I accidentally clicked the teleporter instead. Oh well, at least now gem collecting is much easier now that they can teleport right to them.

There's a bit of the bug with Hogan's Deep Friend Diner. It isn't problematic since it can be very easily fixed, but it's distressing to sims. You see, sometimes when they finish a meal there, they materialize at the back of the restauraunt and can't escape. Poor Victoria got caught, so I had to reset her. She isn't the first rescue I've done and it most likely won't be the last.

Since Elisabeth maxed her career, my main focus now is getting the final skill challenge locked up. She has her six best friends (though one is already an elder and Elisabeth has quite a while to go), two of which are cars, The Pink Wonder and Jimmy's old convertible Chanelle, so they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. After she SuperMaxes logic, all that will be needed is her elder pieces. Tatiana was the absolute hardest, but its been smooth sailing since then.

Somehow, Victoria, who has no points in the logic skill, is part of the chess rank. At least now I don't have to fight to get people to come over with her!

Goodbye, fine dishwasher. You will be missed.

The next day, Elisabeth had to do a vaccination clinic at one of the parks.

SUCK IT UP, LADY, I'VE HURT WORSE!

I'm really blown away at just how stunning Margrethe looks. The purple and orange look is just something only she could pull off.

She has been working really hard toward becoming an Ice Personality. Everything she makes is incredibly beautiful.

The next morning was Sunday, and Elisabeth invited over her final chess opponent. After defeating this lady, Elisabeth became a Grand Master and SuperMaxed Logic! Hooray! We're just days away from reaching the halfway point of this dynasty, and I couldn't be more excited.

I've finally calmed down my panic from realizing just how full the house really is. I've decided that I'm going to wait until after Jimmy dies, Elisabeth becomes immortal, and Margrethe and Gustav are roughly halfway through the adult stage before I bring in the next generation. It's a bit frustrating because the nooboos have finally started to grow on me, and now I have to wait, but it's for the best. I probably should have thought more ahead so that I didn't end up in this situation, but oh well. At least Gustav looks rather nice.

At the end of the day, Margrethe picked up an inventing book to read and Elisabeth read some of her medical journals. The next morning would require an early morning.

Why the early morning? Why, it's Jimmy's birthday, of course!

Surrounded by his family, Jimmy blew out his birthday candle and became an elder.

And then the dishwasher broke again.

Then Gustav went and broke the bathroom sink.

After school, Margrethe sent away for a bunch of gems to be cut for the collection. It cost quite a bit of money, but the Royale's are currently sitting on roughly 950,000 simoleons, so it wasn't much of a dent.

After a late dessert, everybody went off to bed-

-oh, look who's here...

EEEEEEEYYYYYY, MACARENA!

You've got such a crazy sense of humor, and it's always so much fun to read your updates!

It was playing in the car this morning while we were on our way to my art show (I take art classes on Saturday mornings, and today was the end of the first semester and they were displaying some of the student's work). I've had a sore throat all week, but you can bet your butt I sang along.  ;D

Margrethe is doing really well. She spends most of her time in the studio, hence why she struggles in school. She never does her homework! I've had some problems with the chess one, but I fixed it by managing to track down whoever Elisabeth needed to play against on one of the family properties, quickly set up a chess board, and race over there. So far its worked!

I'm glad you like my sense of humor!  ;D
