Who can use wands?

Can anyone use the magic wands? Vampires? Warewolfs? Human? Etc.?

Only witches? What happens if a fairy or some other supernatural uses the wand. Or a human?

As far as I know, they just can't click on them at all.

When you create a Witch in CAS, you will be given a basic wand in your Sim's personal inventory. The others for sale have other traits, and I assume the basic can be purchased for Sims who become Witches through use of a potion, or who accidentally delete theirs.

But no, as far as I can tell, no other life-state can do anything with them.

Actually, non-witch Sims can "Attempt to cast a spell" with wands.  They wave them around and get some glittery/glimmer effects.  But they don't accomplish anything other than a "dazed" moodlet with no effect on mood, and a message that says they don't have the ability to cast spells.

Ok that's why I was wondering because the option came up when I had a vampire click on the wand. But I didn't know if it would immediately back fire on him or what?! Thanks for the info!!

Well I can't guarantee nothing bad will happen, as I've only tried it a couple of times, but I have never gotten anything other then the dazed moodlet.  Good luck!

I wish fairies could use wands too! It makes sense, don't ya think, since it shows the same wand logo underneath their faces as the witch....?
