Do you remember your first Sims family?
« on: September 18, 2010, 11:59:23 AM »
I remember mine; it was the Sims 3 game not the others. I used one of the pre-made families. The one with two young adults, that weren't in a relationship romantically. But, I decided to make my own house. Of course the floor plan was ridiculous, the left wall of the house was a hallway, not very open, that went into a bathroom, living area and two bedrooms. The right wall of the house was a long and very narrow kitchen' I think it was probably 3-4x12 spaces. Not very practical.
I tried to put a staircase in but didn't have any floor tiles beneath where I was going to put it so the floor sunk in, then I deleted the stair well realizing later that I wouldn't be able to afford a second floor and that I didn't know how to make a full stairwell, it was only the half ones so there was this sunk in area in the living room the whole game that I didn't know how to fix! Ha ha!
You guys will love this, the two Sims I started out with lived to be elders with two young adult children as romantic interests! I didn't know they could get married and things and I hadn't even thought about it! And I didn't know what a Lifetime Wish was so they died as elders with out hardly any skill points toward their careers or wishes. So they each had about 2 points in cooking, the wife did the handiness, and some athletic I think.
I will get back to this later, I can't believe I did all these things, but of course I didn't know so don't blame me! Yeah, I feel silly remembering my ignorance in the game! Ha ha!

Nice topic, Beddy_Boop. Wow — we're going back a few years for my first Sims family. It would have to be Bob and Betty Newbie back when I was introduced to Sims 1 in 2001.

My first Sim3 family was Claire Ursine. I played her for a while, maxing her fishing and gardening as well as her criminal career. I think her daughter was a child when I gave up on that game.

My first ever sims family was Michael Bachelor back in the days when there was only the sims (1) base game, even before they had the first expansion ;D .

My first ever sims was Michael Bachelor too in Sims 1. After him were the two roomate girls, forgot their name now. This was also before any expansions came out :-)

My first ever sims family was my own creation in sims 2, that family was great, they had a great house and a lot of money but then the woman got pregnant and went into labour when the waffles were in the oven... you can guess the rest.  :-\

LOL I don't remember which was my first Sim family in Sims 1.  I played one of the premade families but I sure enough remember what all I did to them.  Back then it was very hard to keep them alive.  LOL  My first guy starved to death next to his bed because he couldn't get out and go eat and I didn't know what on earth was wrong or how to help.  The next one burned up in a kitchen fire since I didn't realize if they didn't have at least 2 cooking skills there was a pretty good chance of a fire and I had no clue about smoke alarms, etc.  It was a very rough start.  In Sims 1 it was really hard to keep them alive and keep their needs met.  I don't miss it either.

I don't remember the first sim I ever played.  The first one I remember was a female sim who lived in Magic Town and supported herself making nectar and doing magic spells (remember Rain of Riches?).  She had a dog and a dragon, and it was hilarious watching those two playing tag around the yard.

Sims2, it was always Brandi Broke, always.  The funny thing is, when the sims1 first came out, you picked English as the language.  When my mom and I installed it and heard them talk, we looked at one another and said, that is not right, that is not English, so we uninstalled and re-installed it, twice no less, until we realized, they did not actually speak English, LOL.  Now to repeat that, that really sounds corny.  Anyway, first family in sims1, The Newbies, like a couple of others.  Took a while to build anything.

I seem to recall playing the Pleasant family in the Sims 1 I recall mum dad and two children. I think one of them was called Danial. Hold on I need to google this now.  Yes they do exist I haven't just invented them. The hours I spent with a family that never aged it would drive me stark raving bonkers now.
In the Sims 2 I mostly created families but to be honest I never really got in to it.

My first family was also the Newbies in Sims 1.   Only fitting since they were the tutorial family.  Then I switched to the Roomies family - a couple of young girls living together as roomates.  After that I got brave and started creating my own families.

I first played with Bob and Betty when I used to play Sims 1. For Sims 3, I created a female Sim who married Christopher Steel and moved in with him (his house). I'm still playing the same family till now!! :o

The first family I ever played was one I created (Sims 1).  Myself and my husband!  But of course I ended up playing the Newbies, because I was having the hardest time understanding what to do and needed the tutorial.  But once the tutorial was over I never played the newbies again.  I also always cheated in the first Sims.  Myself and my man were living the high life, having no children and just working on our skills so everything was maxed!

I only ever attempted once or twice to play the Sims 1 without cheating. To be honest there are far more money making opportunities in the Sims 3.

In The Sims 1, I obviously played as the Newbies tutorial family. Once I got bored of them, I think I started playing as the original Goth family. I always wondered why Cassandra never aged and it really bugged me, so I created the Morgans. I realize that's my first 3 sim families and not my first  :P

I also remember my first Sims 2 family being, again, the Morgans, I liked their names (although I can't remember their first names) so decided to recreate them  :)

Finally, on The Sims 3, my first family was Summer and Felix Monroe (I think they had that surname), but they came to an end when my computer was wiped and I had no idea you could transfer saves and stuff  :P

My first sims I made was a tanned female on 'The Sims 2' for console. She got so sad and desperate because she had no one to talk to. I felt bad...But I never ran into that darned rabbit.

My first sim with Sim 3 was a male doctor I based on a character from 'Fire Emblem-Path of Radiance'. His name was Rhys Herber, and he was adorable...But it was kinda bland, just letting him live his life as a single man...Waiting for him to get home, making food, and going to bed. I made him a small house on a foundation...Just a bathroom, and the rest of his house in another room. I feel bad looking back at him...Maybe I'll remake him and help him find love.
