Help with Cheat Console

all of a sudden I can't access the cheat console....ctrl+alt+c no longer works, i can only do a screenshot...anyone else experienced this problem? any suggestions, please?

You have to press Ctrl+Shift+C to access the cheat console.

sorry it was a typo, I am pressing...ctrl + shift + c...again I can only take a screenshot, this suddenly happened out of the blue....help anyone, please

Have you tried exciting the game, clearing your caches, then gone back in and tried it?

I cleared cache and still not working....weird thing is all the others are working, just the ctrl, shft, c....and help appreciated...thanks
