How many total hours have you played TS4, and when did you start playing?

It's kinda a long story. I'm relatively new... but also old. I started in 2016, I think. Sims 3 really took over my life, so I self imposed a hiatus on myself. I ended up getting out of the habit & taking a much longer break than I was expecting. Lots of complicated stuff later & I ended up losing the source disk. Sims 4 is my reintroduction & I'm liking it so far - perhaps, too much. I was an early adopter for 3, and a late adopter for 4. I think, there was an Origin sale in 2016, that made reintroduction pretty affordable. Of course, now I have an expansion pack addition.

I started playing the moments Sims 4 came out.  I've managed to put 1300 hours into it, which is the longest I've ever played any game XD There are some hiatuses in there, of course.  I tend to go in cycles with games.  I'll play and play and play for months on end, then need to take a break for a bit.  Plus, there's work and I am currently trying to write and now edit a finished manuscript.  Sims is either a great motivator or a terrible distraction, depending on the day XD lol

I don't remember when I started to play. It was not immediately after its release because at that time, I was playing TS3 and griping about how alien TS4 was in comparison

I've got 11 hours with the game.... I'm quite the late adopter. 

First got the game maybe a month after it came out, rejected it wholesale in favor of Sims 3, and have only recently given it a second chance. I'm certainly liking it more than I did then.

Weird. It must be a Mac user thing because Origin says I last played July 15, 2015. My memory is not what is use to be, but I guarantee you I have played plenty since then. Lol. So, my listed 167 hours is more likely to be in the 300-400 range. Now...we will not discuss how many hours I have into Diablo III.

Since I share my game with another avid simmer, the numbers of hours is anyone's guess but it is in the thousands to be sure. Now As for when I started playing sims 4, well release day of course, but quickly went back to sims 3. I still feel it is the better game with its open world and ability to recolor/re-pattern anything in game. But a major game crash made me spend hours re-downloading everything and frustration with bugs that weren't going to get fixed made me leave sims 3 for good and I started playing sims 4. I never did get to loading all the sim 3 store items back in my sims 3 game.

I've actually removed Sims 4 from my laptop and returned fully to Sims 3. I was never able to get the hang of the controls of Sims 4. The sad thing is, I was one of those looking forward to it coming out, but my lack of ability to control it stressed me and I don't play games to be stressed. But I got it once it came out in Australia.

@Deklitch  you might prefer the sims3 style controls. I never used the TS4 controls as they are appalling.

I came late to Sims 4 - as I was still playing Sims 2. Sims 4 did make me more and more curious though -
and the 16th of July 2016 Origin had an offer where you could play the game for free for 48 hours - if you
after the 48 hours bought the game - all you had played would be saved and you could just continue.

I decided to give it a go - and before the 48 hours were up - I bought the game and 3-4 months later I had
all the packs that had come out - and ever since I have bought all the new packs the day they came out.

So far I have played 2711 hours of Sims 4 and I have never gone back to Sims 2 since the day I tried out
sims 4 in the 48 hour free play. Do I need to say that I love Sims 4?

1700+ hours, since the start of 2017, nice considering most of time I play offline which doesn't count towards your total.

Meaningless static really, I only jump online is to grab something from the gallery, and i sometimes forget to turn it back off.

I've had Sims 4 since launch day, I've logged in 2760 hours. Should be more but the last few months has been wacky for me. Now Sims 3 is another story. *whistles innocently* I plead the fifth on that one.

Picked up the Sims 4 a few months after it came out during its first sale in Dec, 2014. So far I've logged 6023 hours. Now that doesn't seem to translate into expertise at all as a good many of those hours admittedly were from leaving the game paused while doing other things like sleeping.
