Installing Store Content

Alright, I couldn't find a thread for this so I made one of my own. 

If I buy something from the Sims 3 store, do I need to have the Sims 3 installed to make the purchase? I uninstalled the game ages ago, so there's no Sims 3 folder and I'm not sure where any items I purchased would be stored on my computer. I haven't bought anything in ages so I don't remember how it works, lol.

Yes you need Sims 3 installed to download store items. More specifically you need the Sims 3 launcher. So you could if you have the disc version you can install just the Sims 3 base game and use it's launcher to help download the store items.
