I know it can eat Sims. What on earth do I feed it so it doesn't need to eat Sims?

Your sim will have a large chunk of meat magically appear in that sims hands whenever you click feed on a cowplant. No need for anything in ones inventory. Hope that helps. Have fun with the best plant in The Sims.

Also, you can tell when it's hungry because its tongue hangs out with a piece of cake lure on it. It needs to be fed in the next 12 hours when it does that, because if no sims come bumbling in to try to eat the cake, the cowplant dies. I keep having them die, because I try to grow them in a safe place. And then I forget to check a couple times a day. Good news is, a dead cowplant makes for a pretty cool decor object lol.
