First things first. The parents head over to Magnolia Promenade to fish for Dragon Fruit.

Byron's first Aspiration is Nerd Brain. Emily started with Painter Extraordinaire. She also took a Freelancer position once her painting skill was at level 7. At that point, more lucrative gigs show up. I didn't think it was worth it to take gigs under $1K. Of course, Byron took a job in the Scientist career for the increased abduction odds. By the way, Dance Machine/Disco nap + upgraded bed means that they only had to sleep for about an hour and a half per night.

By the end of week 1, both had completed their aspirations. I sent them out in turns to adopt three infants: Eliot, Elinor, and Milton. The next day they tried for baby. Emily gave birth to twins, Shelley and Keats.

Despite leaving an open spot, Byron came back without an alienboo on board. In fact, he would go on to be abducted numerous times with no luck.

Soon, the babies began to grow up. Milton's toddler ensemble cracked me up. Hey Milton, Huggy Bear called. He wants his outfit back!

His child look was a big improvement, if I do say so myself. Nerd chic really suits him.

Milton and Eliot. Eliot was the first to become a teen. Milton is working on one of his adult skills. When children knit, they get Knitting skill, Motor skill, and Emotional Control all at once. Sweet!

Elinor was not amused that she only got to be a teen for one day.

I'm so impressed that Group 3 is bookended with alien progeny!  How lucky is that!!!
I imagine that Clarke is named after the science fiction author Arthur Clarke, but his glasses kinda make me think of Clark Kent (without the "e").
Poor Salim! So handsome but nobody wants to move into his poorly-furnished apartment!  Especially not a mermaid!

Yes, Clarke is named for Arthur C Clarke and Wells is named for HG Wells.

The natural-born children are Shelley, Keats, and Spenser. I am hoping for a girl this time, but I haven't influenced either the natural-born or the alien genders.

Also, I thought Wells looks a lot like his parents, but then I saw that he's an alien. What a coincidence!

I think with alien children the disguise often resembles the human parent. Wells is one of the more attractive progeny, in my opinion. Quite a few of these offspring will probably make it into my casual game at some point. I really like quite a few of them.

Child 22 just became a toddler, so I'm actually almost halfway there.
