How curious that your Odrades leaned so heavily toward female offspring, whereas your Leonines have been exclusively male so far.
i'm quite curious about the Simstagram followers.
Does that count continue to accumulate even after Nova is resurrected? Nova is the same cat after all.
Does your 9/9 scouting badges not count for the future resurrection of Nova, or do you need to complete the requirement while Nova' a ghost?
The timing seems tricky but you are progressing marvelously.

I'm really hoping the Simstagram followers continue. Nova will come back as an elder and so she'll only have about a week to build them from scratch (no life extensions allowed other than the ambrosia treat)

The 9/9 scouting badges are a part-requirement. 9 school 'A's and 9 part-time jobs are the remaining parts. It's the 9 'A's that will need at least 5 children/teens, hence the 4 in Gen 2.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'd found it hard to research how the ambrosia resurrections work so I haven't planned very well, having no prior experience with cats or ambrosia. I might be able to complete this but I'm having to switch strategies as things become clearer.

Nova: This week was very strange and some of it passed in a dream… It started well. Simba, who I have designated my primary slave, took me chasing birds.

The next event was a little ignominious. I mean, how could an idol like me have any sort of mange? I blame those wretched birds.

Would you believe the next day there was a similar indignity. It’s not my fault that it gets so hot here. I don’t know why but Simba seemed almost pleased for the need to cure me.

At least Dina has learnt to make and bring me a lovely cooling drink. I didn’t make it easy for her as I was sniffing my Magnificent catnip plants. MMMMM

For some reason, I felt drawn to visit the grave marker of my beloved Joy. I think that had something to do with the dream that followed.

I decided to take a nap and began to feel very drained

The Man in Black swooshed me and all I could hear was crying…

Then, what seemed like 2 days later, I smelled a heavenly smell and Simba gave me a wonderful treat that made me feel so alive. Still an elder, but very alive!

Fasa took a photo of me eating it. He’s young adult now, working as a detective, and the youngest are teens. I’m not sure when that happened.

Simba is still a teen. He decided not to go to university but to make the most of my time! A very wise decision. After I was left to my own devices while Fasa had a day at work, Simba and Fasa took me on holiday to the mountains. It’s cooler here.

Notes

The good news is that Nova’s Simstagram followers have stayed loyal through her re-incarnation. She does only get about 13-15 each time she posts. I hope the rate increases as she gets more followers. Any suggestions for getting more?

The bad news is that Nova is resurrected as an elder and, with no other age extensions allowed, her remaining 8 lives will not last long. I had thought she might come back as an adult or even a kitten, in which case, there would be loads of time to achieve all the necessary. As it is, strategies are changing on the hoof (or paw).

I’m a bit confused about the 9 paintings required, one for each life but also including ones for each life stage: kitten, adult, elder. As Nova gets resurrected as an Elder, both kitten and adult paintings can only be done in the first life which I fortunately have managed. So, either we need 10 paintings in all (kitten & adult for the first life and 8 others) or all life stages & lives cannot be represented. The team is considering this so it should become clearer soon.

Fasa aged up to a Young Adult on Friday morning. TC and Benny aged up to teens at the same time. I’ve had them working on the Programming skill to speed up getting A’s in High School. TC autonomously hacked his to get an A. Benny will soon. I haven’t aged Simba up as he has maxed Vet skill and I want him around as long as possible.

Early age-ups are permitted for the household humans (not life extensions though). We do need 2 more household members to complete the 9 good friends requirement and we also need another child or teen as we only have the potential for 1 more A in the current set up. Dina! Don! I have a suggestion…

I wonder if that was an oversight, or intended, on the part of the challenge creator?  I know if I had made the rules, I would have allowed an Age Down treat after resurrecting the cat with an Ambrosia treat.

It was indeed an oversight. The team have got back to me and Age-down treats are to be used to get back to a kitten.
Aha - it's a relief. I was wondering how to acheive the rest of the requirements in the remaining 8 elder lives.

I'm taking a little time-out from playing this dynasty as I reassess my strategy.

Having little experience with the ambrosia and age-down treats, I didn't realise that resurrecting the ghost of Nova should have included 2 age-down treats to get her back to a kitten. When I resurrected her with just the ambrosia treat, she came back as an elder and I then thought I'd only have a week for each of her remaining lives. This led to some intense requirement filling.
Having the age-down treats now means that Nova will have way more time than she needs to fill those requirements and I'm pondering on the best tactic to make her extra lives interesting.

Nova: I’m still feeling my elder age as I get used to our lodgings in Mt Komorebi. Fasa finally changes out of his work uniform to enjoy the swimming pool, even though water is coming out of the sky. Maybe I should arrange a pool at home…

There is a demon fridge here. It has tried to disguise itself as a wooden cupboard but I’d know that infernal humming anywhere.

I make a new friend with pink hair who is very quiet. Although she doesn’t say a lot, I gather she comes from a city called San Myshuno. Hm…

Back at our home in Oasis Springs, I go to commune with the beloved Joy. I explain my plans and I truly believe that she approves. Benny graduates early from High School so he ages up to a Young Adult. Then Dina, Don and Benny all move out to live with Dina’s birth family. Don seems very pleased to go back to her mother and sister. They will still visit regularly to offer tributes to me.

Ooh, a treat. Yummy! What? I feel….young. What’s that? I must chase it. Round and round. Oh. It’s my tail. How embarrassing.

I have got my family to San Myshuno! We are in a proper house on the docks, very handy for Fasa to continue fishing for me. He often sticks the fish on wood for some reason and then I see them when we visit my Temple in Willow Creek. Sometimes he mashes his fish up and puts them on my catnip plants. Mmmm – CATNIP! Although teen Simba is my favourite companion, I can’t deny that Fasa works the hardest. Having aged up early, he is enjoying his detective career. He had an interview with a vampire which he claimed was very referential… Should that be reverential? I don’t know. He should definitely reserve all his reverence for me!

TC finally gets to graduate early so he ages up too. It must be very strange for Simba that he was the first born but is now the youngest. It is important that he stays around a long time to look after me. TC moves out to be with Don and Dina so there are just me, Simba and Fasa living here now.

I don’t like prowling here. Apparently there is nothing I’d be interested in. I disagree. Those food vans smell delicious! They do have some wonderful thrones here for me. They talk and they have fountains. I must have one of my own.

A primal need to mate has me visiting Brindleton Bay with Simba. He points out Ollie, the one I fought with last time. The joker does not make it easy by climbing on these crates. I finally settle for Mo who, despite being the smelliest cat around, is at least friendly. Satisfied, we head home although Simba is very sad that I didn’t mate with Ollie. Sometimes he is a mystery to me.

I need a chat with the boys. This house is too big for us. I think another move is on the cards to fully experience city living. It’s a shame there’s nowhere to live at the park. Maybe I’d like prowling there.

Notes

Having cleared my confusion with the challenge team, Nova should have had 2 Age-Down treats immediately after her Ambrosia treat to get her back to being a kitten. With their approval, the first 3 days of her 2nd life have been designated as her Kitten lifespan and she had 1 Age-Down treat to make her an Adult.

Having thought Nova would only have about a week for each of her remaining 8 lives, the household were hustled along to meet more requirements than they need for now. My current plan for the other requirements within the extended life spans, is to try to experience each world open to me whilst completing some extra collections. Hopefully it will be interesting for both me and you lovely readers.

Simba is trying to complete the City Life aspiration but giving a Residence key doesn't count as giving an Apartment key so that requirement can't be completed without moving to an apartment. He is also collecting city posters and snow globes while Fasa continues to build his fish collection.

I do like the Detective career. Enough needed involvement to solve the cases but not too onerous. There's one very big reason why I'm using it again

The museum requires 9 unique level 9 career rewards. If the research I've done is correct, level 9 Detective will give all 9 unique ones so the family won't need to work again unless they want to. It's a huge short-cut 

Nova is a female as you rightly guessed from the name. I'll add it into the stats though to avoid confusion. The mating is annoying. Nova is spayed so she can't have kittens and I'm not allowed to add any other pets to the household anyway. But she gets the urge to mate so she gets taken for a visit to Brindleton. I'll try the Be Friendly to... and I might try giving her the calming vet treat next time.

Nova: We have moved to a flat. Some would call it an apartment but I’ve decided to be British on this point. It has not one but 2 balconies and no troublesome neighbours. I go out by myself sometimes but I mostly enjoy my view from the top of the world – my rightful place.

In the rather marvelous glass house, which gets lovely and warm in the sun, one of my minor acolytes collapsed. The Man In Black came and took her away. I didn’t mind her but I don’t miss her. Simba and Fasa were very sad. My human companions have their strange ways.

I have one of the illuminated, talking thrones in my new home but I am undecided about it. Sometimes I will sing to it but sometimes it just creeps me-out.

Simba has put my jump ring on the balcony but a good way from the parapet. He doesn’t often encourage me to jump through it but I like to, every now and then, when I am feeling whimsical.

Another mating trip to Brindleton Docks and I survey my domain. I truly am Queen of all I survey.

Simba is indeed still doing City Native. Giving the Penthouse key did trigger Give Apartment Key - phew! The timing of festival tasks is such that they will remain in the city for another week at least, despite Nova being unable to Prowl, even at Myshuno Meadows.

Completing this aspiration will complete another resurrection requirement so I'm not in a rush to try the other treats in order to meet the Cure 9 Illnesses requirement  - I fear the Wrath of Nova! Lol

Nova: I feel the ending of the year and this noisy light-box appears to mark it. What will this year bring? I have much to resolve.

Firstly, after a visit to my Temple to add a few extra fish to the wall, Simba calls me from Prowling in Willow Creek to this place of strangeness. I cannot Prowl here, just like at our home territory. This needs resolving.

Simba did take me to my favourite place in Brindleton so I could Prowl but unfortunately an impertinent squirrel caught me off-guard for the first of 2 times this week. These odd, smelly bushes are a haven of mischief!

Fortunately Simba has the means to sort out the unpleasant drooling that follows. Squirrel bites are not to be taken lightly.

Having realized the importance of Simba’s ministrations, I also realise that he is to mature this week and it is time to find him a mate. As humans appear to have a need for something called Romance I encourage him to embark on a search for a Soulmate. This teen – Dylan Kealoha – is Cheerful Green Fiend. I’m not sure about the Fiend description but she is a good age match for Simba.

Fasa gets a promotion and is very cheerful. It is good to see my people happy.

To encourage my people to be happy, I have them meditating on my magnificence. One of the extras has a break-through so I add her to my list of potential mates for Simba when he matures. I'd prefer one with a red or ginger coat more like my own but there's not many out there.

Just as I finalise my list, I realise that Dylan has aged up so I have Simba age up too – 1 day early. He is now an Active, Cat-Loving Genius and he signs up as a Scientist.

Decision Time – I must select a mate for him. Let me see…oh, Maura is unflirty and not into romance with Simba at all. Ah – and Kaila likes to steal things. I don’t think so! What is Dylan’s third trait? O-oh!

I decide at once that Felicia, although slightly older than Simba, will be the most suitable mate. I try to tell her but Fasa is dancing with her. It’s Love Day so he meeting some sort of requirements.

Oh good. Fasa has asked Felicia to move in. That will make things easier. I start training her straight away. It seems she has already discovered the source of treats.

As Felicia is a Freegan and therefore likes dumpster-diving, I take her to Thriftea to find a more suitable wardrobe. She also puts together an outfit which she is trying to sell. She is very good at finding a bargain but is reluctant to get a job.

Saturday and it will be the Romance Festival tonight. It will be the perfect time to cement Simba and Felicia’s relationship. Nova: Humph! These humans are very confusing. Whilst I agree with Simba’s attitude to life, his aspiration to be a Serial Romantic will get messy and I’m worried about him cheating on someone who’s Evil… Fasa and Felicia seem to make a stable couple and their ages are more in line with each other. I think we all need to get away, take some time out and think things over…somewhere I can Prowl!

It was quite a disappointment that Dylan aged-up Evil. I considered playing that out but decided on Felicia. Meeting Love Day requirements got Fasa and Felicia together so we’ll run with that (throwing notes up in air).
