I had my Dynasty Spare with a full Painting Skill Bar at Level 9, I had quit before she maxed and then she maxed Painting and I got two memories, Learnt Painting and Maxed Painting. Lol, I turned my Notifications off now, you don't need them anyway, It's a cool feature but just on over kill.

Now I see what you all meant about overwhealming memories. Gobias was fishing, and after few Sim hours, there are dozen memories. Catch Anchovny for the first time, Catch record size Anchovny (few of these), Catch perfect Anchovny, same for 3 other type of fish, gain skill level, and catch 100kg of fish in total. That is more angler talk than I can handle!

Haha, tell me about it.
In China my sim had memorized the fact he has 'for the first time' found his 300th relic. :P I think those memories mosty can count for newborn sims.

Ok I shared a couple memories and haven't gotten anything yet. I thought there was a prize for sharing one memory. And there's this bar on the stats page. How does that get filled?

The reward for one memory is only a badge.  If you go to your 'My Page' on the official forum and look in 'My Goodies', then under Badges you will see the badge.  If you want to use it click on 'Favorite' and it will appear on your avatar.

The bar fills up with each memory you share (see my post #22 in this topic).

How do we make a photo album? I also would like to make one for my toddler's memories. Thanks! :)

Here's the shirt you get at 200 memories:

Whew, I think it's time to turn the notifications off now.

Thanks Ausette.  I turned mine off too as I didn't receive anything else when I reached 250 memories.  I think I am going to delete most of the generic ones and then turn my memories on again for one family only so I don't miss the unique and special memories that I want to add to their scrapbooks.

So I've managed to turn the notifications off, but it still makes a dinging sound to say they have a new memory. Is there a way to turn off the memories entirely so they can only get memories that I make?

Mine still ding also and they get the memory icon above their heads but at least the pop-ups don't appear.  Not sure how to juggle it otherwise.  I'll play around with it later tonight and see what I can discover.

My Sim has only played a day and he already has 10 memories. Yippee, I went to the park, I ate at the bistro, I got a make-over, big whoop.  :-\

See if this is correct. You can turn the pop-ups off, but they still get memories right? I would love for there to be no pop-ups but I still want them to get memories. In case I'm busy with someone else, you know? I haven't messed with it because I still want the memories, just not the pop-ups!

Esther - As far as I know you can't turn off Memories but you can turn off the Notifications in the options Menu. You still get all the Memories appear in the Book thing but no Pop-Up Notifications.  :)

Ok I found it. And I seem to have an achievement grill in my purchase history on the Sims 3 site. How did I get that? I only shared 2 memories I think. But my bar hasn't changed. Do I have to go out of my game and go back in for it to register?

I just updated game, and first memory in my decadynasty is:
"Emma just picked up Annan. She will always remember how just incredibly soft Annan felt in her arms."

I have a feeling I will be turning off this pop ups very soon!

That's funny. I read it quickly at first. The two 'n's together looked like an 'm'at first glance. I thought it was Sim Creator humor. Aman = A Man. :) Perhaps that was the humor. Either way, it was a funny memory.

I have to log into the Sims 3 official site each game in order to update the bar.  There should be a 'key' in the lower left hand corner and when I click on it I am asked for my password.  NOTE:  Please see my reply #22 on page 3 of this topic.  I posted a picture and I have my user name blacked out, but the 'key' is to the right of where it says 'Currently logged in as'.

Please also see this picture as it shows you how many memories you have shared, how many rewards you have earned and how far you need to go until the next reward.

Have fun making memories ;)!

Presently, I'm having a major issue with memories. When my sims are sleeping a memory pops up, such as, "Maxed the mixology skill", even when my sim doesn't have the mixology skill. Or, "road in a limo", when they are asleep? I wrote comments in,to my uploads to EA site. Hope they are reading them.
