Putting Child to Bed

There appears to be no command/instruction in Sims 3 to put a child/baby/toddler to bed.     At least I haven't seen one.    I would appreciate advice from anyone who can point me in the right direction if this exists.    I am only new to the game and still finding my way around.

For Toddlers there is an option for the Adults to 'Put in Crib', make sure you have a toddler crib though, I made that mistake once. You can make children go to bed by controlling them and sending them by clicking on the bed.

In Buymode, when you are browsing by function there is a symbol of a Teddy Bear, if you select that, that is where all the items needed for a Toddler can be found. A Baby will use the same crib as well. However a Child will then need a bed but those can be the same as Adult Beds, although most of the time people use Single Beds.

When a toddler is tired, you get an option to "put them to bed," although it's no different than just putting them in the crib.  Adults have (or at least used to have) the option to tell a child to go to bed.
