Vanished Completed LTW?

When I fufill a lifetime wish, it... vanishes from sight. The little thing where the gold version of the wish ought to be just goes transparent, showing the background of the bar (but not the game) behind it. It's not the silver, uncompleted lifetime wish, and it's not the golden completed symbol. Nothing pops up when I mouse over it, either.

That said, I do get the happiness points for completing the wish, and I do get the message saying the wish had completed. I'm not entirely clear on what's wrong, or how to fix it, or at least prevent it. Clearing my caches hasn't done anything to the old ones, but I'm not sure if maybe it will stop this from happening. But if anyone has any sort of explanation or solution, that would be great.

I've searched, but couldn't find one like it with the corner box.

I've had this once, and the only CC I have is a world - so I won't ask about mods, but do you have any CC?

I have a good bit of store content, and a few patterns from the exchange... Not to mention small color-tweaks I've saved and stuff like that. Any of that sound like it may be a culprit? And, if so, should I just change out the things that are likely to be culprits, delete them, see if that helps?

Sometimes it happens when Sims travel. Is your Sims on vacation? Or did he completed his LTW in one of WA destinations, and the LTW "vanished" when he came back in his home world? If yes, then it's a good old bug from WA. I don't think there is any solution.

They have travelled, but didn't complete the wish while travelling, and so they were at home when it vanished. This has happened to a couple of sims, the only sims I've had that have completed lifetime wishes since this problem started.

I'd say the patterns are the most likely culprit, if anything.

And does it happen every time a sim completes a LTW?

I haven't tried yet, but I don't think so. I'll try and see if I can tommorow.

You can't exploit it. It still counts as completed but you can't see it. I had this for a while and it was common, it just happened and I never found out why. It hasn't happened in a while now though.

This happens to most of my Sims - no CC or mods in my game. I think it's connected to traveling somehow because when my Sim completes his/her LTW while they are at home and it disappears, if I then take them to a WA location their completed LTW comes back and is now fully functional (ie. you can mouse over it and read the info). For me it's one of those things that I don't even really notice anymore, it's just the way my games are. It may have started in each game file after I took my Sims on vacation for the first time, but I can't remember anymore.

Just to reaffirm: you cannot exploit this and do another LTW. As samoht said, it stills counts as that Sim's completed LTW.

It happen to me also and I have no custom or store content in my game. As Lilygirl said let them travel and it come back.

This has happened to me a few times. No mods or CC, the only place I get extra content is the Store. As far as I can tell there are no negative consequences for having it missing. Travelling has never bought the gold symbol back for me, but it doesn't bother me having it absent.

I agree with Amyrose. This bug does not bother me at all. I know my sim has completed the LTW and got all the points for it, and a blank space does not interfere with the game at all. Most of the times the bronze badge shows up later.

I definitely think it's related to WA. It first happened to me right after I installed WA (only a few weeks ago). At first I thought WA had made LTWs work like in Sims 2 and made it possible to complete several of them. But then I noticed that I could not pick a new one. And as I said earlier, my sim later got the bronze sign for a completed LTW.

It happens to me fairly often.  I haven't made the connection to travel, though.  Some of my Sims travel and some don't.  Many times the glitch is only temporary and it will show as completed the next time I load the game.  It's not a game breaker, just a little annoying.
