Thanks everyone!

Lowering my settings did the trick.  No problems with night/day switch, or doing the memory thing or queueing up things to do.  It's also a lot faster for me.  Oh, I also turned off Origin which I think helped my pc in general.  With it on and leaving Firefox on it just slowed everything way down.  CAS is still horribly slow but it always has been for me because I do a lot of recolors on clothes, (and have a tremendous amount of clothes and hair anyway), and I save my recolored things.  So everybody, exit from Origin to give yourselves a wee boost in speed.

Okay I am confused. I have only Ambitions and WA, so which one should I download?
Assuming its the second, what do I do with it?

I keep getting Error 12 when trying to save in this world. Is it something to do with graphics or something.

Sorry for double post.  Use "Save As" Charlotte.  That usually will go around the error 12 problem.

Sportsfan, get the regular download with WA and Ambitions you should be fine.  A few things will change or not show up but most of the trees and stuff will be fine.

I tryed Save, Save As, and Save and Quit all multiple times but it didn't fix the problem.

Charlotte have you cleaned out your cache files?  Sometimes that helps.  Check to see if you have stuff from the exchange.  Sometimes that will mess things up.  Check your current save files to see if one has a .bad at the end because that will definitely mess you up.

Sportsfan, you're my Sim's new boss.  Since you're the first male Sim she's met, you're also very likely to become her husband.   ;)

All this would be incredible just as a collection of lots and Sims on its own, but being laid out so attractively . . . my computer is doing pretty good at handling this, just a few pauses here and there, but there may be another upgrade in my future so I can truly appreciate all this!   ;D

Haha csquared that's funny.

Okay this is really annoying me now. Two times in a row it got to 25%, froze for a couple minutes and I had to quit the program. The third time it just crashed after 25%. I'm trying again but can anybody help me?

Now it won't get past 25% and crashes every time. It says:
"sims 3 has stopped working. A problem caused it to stop working correctly"

How high are your settings normally? You can alter them from the main menu. Or it might be a good idea to try the save file instead.

Someone asked on the last few pages I think. I don't know how to do it myself. I've got random crashing as well and it's getting really annoying now...
