I always suggest moving a Sim in before marriage as it is the best thing to do. But so far I have had Three foreign marriages in my Legacy, one from China and two French and got no problems from it.  :)

Oh Wow, I have never gotten an Astronaut but I have had several sims who had Max Athletic and very high Handiness so go figure.  ;D I may try Military in the next generation of mine, I can hardly believe that will be Generation Six!  :D

I never seem to get the option to invite a sim to move in, even when they're going steady or engaged. So all in an evening I just hook 'em up and while the proverbial iron is hot, I marry 'em up.

I'm still wondering how you get the option to invite a sim to move in, though. :D

You use friendly interactions until the other sim thinks Your sim is being friendly or sociable, the interaction to move in shows up.  ;)

My sims are fast then. They plow right through the romantic interactions, which must be why the move in option isn't there.

I just realized that I'm about to have a third generation, but there are no gnomes yet! How did this happen with a garden and a professional angler? I'll have to get busy with gems, I guess. A garden without gnomes is just, well, a garden. :(

I have a garden with a mechanical Gnome, I think he is going steady with the sprinkler!  :D Meanwhile I am moving steadily towards my Sixth Generation, my highest ever, which used to be the Second but I thrashed that!  ;D Just need an heir to get a girl not the spare!  ;)

EDIT:

If you start a blog, don't leave it as late as I do thinking there isn't enough stuff for the next chapter, it took me over an hour to write the latest one and I thought there was not enough stuff to put in it! So I warn you, write it all out and then judge don't assume it isn't enough!

Moving in is a friendly interaction, not a romantic one.  It won't show up on the romantic tab at all.

Is there a way to rearrange the sim icons? As this household gets bigger, the icons need some organization.

If you're talking about the headshots of the Sims that line up along the left of your screen...  no.  They are in order by the Sim's age.  They will rearrange themselves if you give Ambrosia or Life Fruit to a Sim, which lowers his/her age.  But you can't just randomly rearrange the icons.

In my legacy the 2nd gen. brother and sister married sister and brother of another family. Spouse icons aren't together, so it gets confusing. Thanks.

Can someone give me a link to "Pinstar's Rules?" So I assume it is a guideline for legacies? That would be very helpful, thank you in advance! :)
