Procedure of Re-installation

A silly question, I want to know when should I install the patch during re-installation. After installing the base-game? Or after installing all EPs & SPs?
Maybe there is no difference. But please kindly advise or share your experience.

I patch up after installing the base game, because all of the EPs depend on later patches anyways.

Yeah, I second that. Hubby and I patch after installing the base game, and then start reinstalling the expansions and stuff packs. Letting the installer patch as you go.
