More and more options after updating game?

Every time I allow my Sims game to update, I get more options in-game, such as purchasing an additional home which I couldn't do before.. Why is this? Is this normal?

Hi Drache,

Yep that's normal, you may even see some items that you hadn't before. Like the ladder, and the spiral staircase. There might be more items. But that's a couple that I noticed right off hand.
