Cannot use "Dream about" option on minors

I cannot use the "dream about" option whenever I click a bed or while a child/teen Sim is sleeping on a bed. The only way I can do this is to buy a Dream Pod, but that looks to unfitting. Help!

I've never experienced this glitch, but tried doing a search on it. And this is what I found.

The only thing that comes to mind is does this happen with a new game? And have you tried deleting the bed and buying a new one?
