Vampire Children learn skills FAST

My Vampire teen read the Photography book at night and went from level 1 to level 3 very quickly.  He had the second type of camera, took only 3 pictures out in his mother's garden and went straight to level 10.  It really surprised me   when I saw that happen.  He is much slower learning to fish or to garden.  

And there we have it. Maybe it is just because they are slower for some reason with activities outside? I mean, that's the only connection between fishing and gardening I can see right now: you have to be outside the house.
So, are they fast with athletic and martial art also? Try testing this with working out in the house and outside the house. Do this, of course when it is nighttime.

Has anyone tested this with teens? Kids can't learn all of the skills and I'd like to see if I could max all of the skills before having them be a young adult.

@Leto - my vampire teen, when he was a child, maxed his logic skill to level 10 in one 24 hour Sim day being outside using the telescope.  His sister did the same thing.  They started after school and homework and finished up before the night was over.  
The teen has already maxed his athletic skills.  The family hasn't traveled to China yet so I am not sure about martial arts.    

@AsheCrystal - vampire teens learn just as fast. So far mine has maxed writing, logic, cooking, mixology, athletics, nector making, guitar, and the charisma skill.  He is at level 8 gardening and level 9 fishing.

@mtglady: Any experience already with the instruments? I am highly curious about if they max out the opportunities that came along with guitar. You know: that opportunity that require to fulfill 10 tasks related to guitar in order to succes. That already is difficult but now with the introduction of Late Night nearly  impossible because the other instruments do require to fulfill the same opportunity.
So my question is: Can a vampire teen force such an instrumental opportunity to popup quicker than a regular sim?

What is cool, I have a youth that is painting masterpieces and writing books and she has five days before becoming a teen.

Leto, here is a picture showing his guitar and piano skills are maxed (you can see Wolfgang on the bus).  I haven't worked on the skill challenges yet and he still needs to purchase a few more song books for both skills.  Tonight I may work on the drums with him.  I am not sure about them 'forcing' an opportunity quicker or not as I don't have a non-vampire teenage Sim to compare him with.  His sister was born a vampire too.

He is also maxed out on Mixology and I want to see if he could get into a bar and moonlight.  He has completed the challenge for creating 25 unique drinks in that skill.

My teen vampire has maxed his Mixology skill and has met the 25 unique drink challenge.  I found out tonight that he can visit the bars (just watch out for curfew  ) and purchase drinks.  He just can't moonlight as a mixologist, but he can play his guitar for tips in the subway, again, just watch out for curfew.

I actually never get robbed in the metro. The thing is, my Sim was pretty muscular and with that came high athletic and martial art skills. Maybe that scares them off?

@mtglady: your vampire teens skillbook is looking very interesting. You could almost simply make it to an I-know-everything-sim in no time. And to put that bar even higher, beside working out the challenges as well you could also start mixing the best genes in Sims: like having a vampire Sim which father is a firefighter level ten so the vampire is also immune to fire and maybe an pyromania Sim to. If his mother was for example the maid of the house, her children never leave a puddle after showering or dirt on the sink.

My child sim, Blossom Adkins, fulfilled her LTW of Illustrious Author in two days, and maxed logic. I was thinking of having her be an "I Know Everything" sim, but decided against it. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Vampire kids also finish homework really fast. Also, can someone give me a list of skills children can learn? I'm trying to find one for her sister Danica to match.

My now teen vampire has maxed all the instruments, karate, body, inventing, and got renasaunce sim as a child with logic, writing, and art. She is insane. woot. She has trouble .. normal skilling with fishing, cooking and repair.  She also normal learns gardening.  I think she has trouble with cooking because she doesnt eat.  Hunting is better than fishing, and Daddy sim likes repair.

I had trouble with this for one reason only, why raise them normaly when Vamp is the clear advantage.  Has anyone seen drawbacks other than insanity?

By insanity do you mean your vampire child was given the insane trait? Because my vampire child aged up to young adult and I was able to pick all of her traits like normal. The only disadvantage I would see is that some jobs have a skill as a metric so you would not get raises for skilling up like you would normally and you would therefore have to work harder at the other things. Also it doesn't complete any of the skill challenges so you still have to get those the normal way. It is very cool how fast they finish their homework though!

My Vampire teen skills just as fast as they did as children and they can learn even new things that they couldn't as a child.  Wolfgang has learned maxed out on all of the instruments, athletics and mixology.  His sister, Wendy, has just aged up and is just now starting on learning the instruments the family has in the basement rec room. 

Simstar3, try having them learn the skill as soon as the sun sets as I have found that is the best time for them to learn fast.  They also have the bats flying over their heads while learning which is intersting to see.
