Vampiric Vigor buff stopped coming?

Sorry if this has been discussed (search was giving me 0 results for every term I tried). But I know my sim could get the vampiric vigor buff at night, it was happening every night. Then after a long play session today she ceased getting the buff. I tried reloading the game just in case, but nothing. Anyone else have this experience? I just switched back to TS3 from TS4 after having played 4 since its release, so I no longer remember if this was a known issue or anything.

I don't usually play vampires or any supernaturals. But I took an exception in one of my recent games. I had a vampire guy sim turn my girl sim into a vampire. She had Vampiric Vigor buff on and off for awhile. Then it turned itself off. I figured it's a once in a while thing?

I'm not sure. After awhile I ended up taking her into Create a Sim and turn her back to human.
