Maintenance

I will put the Forum into maintenance sometime around 8PM EST, maybe a bit before if my work goes smoothly. We almost never have to do this, but today it's necessary. Downtimes may be up to 1 hour.

@Deklitch Sorry that is the forum time unless you have set it differently. It is 6:50PM and I am ahead of schedule.

I should be doing this within 30 minutes, and the transition *should* go smoothly.

Very happy there seem to have been 0 drawbacks to the maintenance, just faster response times (at least for me). I'll reiterate I want to hear of any lag here on the forum, because I got some reports of lag and the maintenance directly related to how it is sent to you and was meant to make things more stable in high-traffic situations.

Now that 24h have passed since the mentions bug came up,  is anyone still experiencing it? Mine show as 2 but it's an appropriate number

I'm not seeing strange amounts of mentions that some people have been reporting, but I am seeing mentions that don't clear - I have a mention from MrsFlynn, for example, and when I view the thread I was mentioned in it is not clearing.

Ok hopefully they disappear. If not I may need to reinstall the mod. They usually stick around a day or two.

Yep - I posted that and they were gone after a couple of refreshes

Whew,  good news. Thanks,  I was hoping it was a temporary glitch and at that,  the maintenance was a great success

Sorry for downtime folks, found a glitch that could've caused the server to go offline for hours if I were not already here to fix it. I'm correcting the issue at the moment and things may be rocky the next hour, but the problem is known and I'm on it!

@everyone it is now fixed and we're back to normal. Minor glitchiness for the next hour or so but nothing major. Thanks for your patience!

It gets crazy when all your sites go down and hundreds of people are hammering F5 trying to get it to come up!

Short maintenance coming in around 30 minutes. We should only be offline about 10 minutes. Sorry there isn't more warning! When I have the time I like to just get it done
