All the townies don't bathe

I know there's a smelly sim syndrome w/ one's own sim (still not sure of the cure/fix), but this is reverse. The majority of townies all have the green mist monster evaporating from their pixels. I'm wondering if anyone knows a fix for this? It's new. I've not changed my game in any way; not added or taken out any mods, etc.

I'm a bit desperate; it's going to be a really awful bachelor party if this isn't remedied     Thanks.

I am not sure how to really fix this problem. However a tip worth looking into is using Nraas Master Controller to Reset Everything (Town & Sims)

It did work. No issues with that since (in case anyone else falls prey).
