Starting Without Launcher with patch 1.69?

Is it possible to start The Sims 3 without the launcher in base game version 1.69?  I want to know if it's possible because I want to export models of sims and houses with 3D Ripper DX.

From what I understand no you can't. That's one of the things 1.69 does is take away that option.
