pets expansion pack not playable

i am so sorry everyone if i am placing this post in the wrong place.. i need some help with the expansion pack pets. each time i load up appaloosa plains to play i get kicked off in about 10 seconds. and it goes straight to desk top. i notice this happens everytime i play the schmidt household. he is one of my favorites in this town. but he is unplayable. any help is appreciated everyone and thanks!
