Dumb question about the video camera?
« on: September 25, 2017, 08:09:17 PM »
OK so, I've been playing the same save game for a long time and have gotten more or less to the (originally) desired point of the game. But I just found out about the video camera today and there's some stuff I want to do...if I can. The Sims Wiki stated that Elder Sims can record the good old days they had, but I was wondering...is there supposed to be an option to do this just as a specific action (like "Record Memories on Film" or something to that effect) when the Sim is an Elder, or is it like real life where an event must be recorded in the moment it occurs? If the latter is the case, I might well be completely screwed...I just didn't know the video camera existed until earlier today because I would never have known where to look for it.

I'm not finding much information on the video camera itself. You may want to do some experimenting with the camera and the memories, if you have them enabled.

The video camera that comes in Generations expansion, with which you can take in-game videos and have your sims watch them on TV.

You can get it in Buy Mode > Electronics category > Miscellaneous tab.
